Wouldn't be better if you just try and fix the error/crash instead? You can make a simple process monitor, which checks if an app window can be found, say every 10 seconds. If not, just start it.
You can literally google it, there are numerous of software that allows to monitor executable and has a handy set of parameters to relaunch it, so you can get this for free and programming is not required.
