I was wondering if it is possible to use the functionality of a9 files, but run a client as BMR? basically im wondering if its possibble to run an a3 server on a9 files, just to get the multiple skilltabs and transup working.
Paul this is possible using A9 server and A9 Client with 6 or 7 all old character, and need only a small modification on one UI ui_charselectwnd.txt this is most easy way without editing exe or any other information inside database.
He said he wants to run the a9 client on a3 server. The answer is no.
Modding a9 client down to a3 is also not going to happen because of how the stats are calculated in a9. Trust me it's not worth it and there's no one here who will do it.
Sorry for my english , but what i ment is that i want transup to work etc. i was asking if i can run a9 serverfiles, remove all new content , so that the server is pure a3 running with the skillbar functionality, f1-f10 slots and transup.
no way to make it pure a3. action 7 update changed many things including:
- the way your damage is calculated on monsters based on their defense (if monster dont have any elemental resistance)
- the way your damage is calculated on monsters based on their defense and resistance
- the way your damage is calculated on players based on their level
- - || - based on their defense
- - || - based on their defense and elemental resistance
- the way your defense is calculated based on your items
- the way your resistance is calculated based on your items (altho thats the smallest change iirc)
all that made your ITEMS much more relevant; before a7 your skill was more important than your items. now its not and if you revert your items back to a6 and earlier state then you'll make them completely irrelevant with the current stat calculation. damage difference will be <5% on someone with +0 gear and someone with +9 gear.
end of story, no point, too much time required and noones got money or time for that.

Exe and DB and some Csv files structures is diffrence.
3 skill bar = impossible
Trans-up = you can get effect from skill + costumes face. Only.
