[DEV] Live Status ranking

Hi,

currently busy on a live status ranking list ....
i have STEP 1 - STEP 2 done
but next is the "profile" page, where is displays all the characters info
but iam not sure about the "security" of that page
or better what should be displayed and what not

byDirection = the direction the character was facing when he logged off.
byRetDirection the direction the player is facing when he spawns after dieing.

They both have no effect to anything, because this function appeared in action 3, and the current action 2 server files don't read that column at all.

I don't think co-ords would really be needed, also some people might not like their stats (str, dex, con, spr) displayed. Some wouldn't even like their hp, shield, mp to be displayed either.

well bottomy, some games, like AION have this system where you can view anyones character profile
thats where the idea came from

after loggin in i dont see a option "Dont display my character profile"
so its kinda forced on them, so there is no way to hide them

@Zombe, good luck on that
but if i have to report you, that is does not count

Display all char info? are you mad? or do you want people quitting your servers because people happen to know who are a easy target... The whole point of a VS. is not knowing the outcome, but if you know the guys got like 1/2 your hp and defense then really no point in it at all.

SQL database updates every 3 minutes, there is no way to check it during a PK-war. It doesn't update that fast.

Well in general, if you have a server that requires a bit of xping and/or farming then it would open a window of some disadvantage to people who cant level or equip their chars due to other things like little play time. Would be a handy script to have maybe for server admins to easily check players but other then that i don't see a big advantage over disadvantage of it for the players. Unless this script can only be viewed by players who login into panel and can only view their own character stats.

can do that but that can edit there stats

if iam gonna continue on this, its still up to the GM/DEV/OWNER if he installs it or not
if they dont like the fact that there info is posted on the website of that pserver
then its up to the GM/DEV/OWNER to remove it (or leave the game)

i cant force all pservers to install this script, if you like it ? install it
if you dont ... dont install it

and true zombe, while i was creating this ... i seen that i cant pull data from the DB that will show: Defense, current attack points, defense against pvp, magical attack point

maybe its a bad idea to give it "live status ranking" unless someone comes up with a way to pull that data from: dekaron.exe, or something else ...

like i said, ill finish the script, then its up to the GM/DEV/OWNER to use it or not
PS: you can install this script, but not make it public on your site, so only GM/DEV/OWNER's have access to it
