ok, witht he exe's there really isnt a way to tell them apart, as for whole clients, well most servers have their own setup when it comes to item and monster indexes, so you would have to be familiar with them in order to tell them apart.
just try to use the ones you know arent the same exe, the dshop tab exe, should just slip right into your client assuming your dshop files are set up correctly that is, i havent downloaded conqs exe, so i dunno if it comes with dshop files or what, but most exe's will simply drop into you bin folder and start, at least ones that havent been modified by an owner or dev from another server, i dont think any exe's u will find here on these forums are modified to that extent, so u should be able to just drop it in and start it.

I hope you guys see / or at least know I am really trying to learn this stuff to be a dev. I want my own releases in here and be able to help others like me that are struggling. But i gotta go to EPVP school before I can do that.
most noobs here, they dont search, they dont look, dont bother reading the stickies, they dont look in their files, refuse to do any work or make any effort to do anything for themselves, then get on here demanding things, and then start talking **** when its not handed to them, which in turn causes the few morons here that stick around to spoodfeed them w/e it is they need, and get up on their soapbox to make it out like if it wasnt for them handing the noobs the **** they demand, then the world would end and we would all surly parish
really the fact of the matter is that those few morons, just keep those noobs exactly where they are at in their deving, they still have no clue how to add anything, how to update anything, hell most of them dont even know where to put the server IP in the files, and its the few morons fault that hand it to them
thankfully, it does not seem you are like that, u did ur searching, did ur research, looked thru the files and tried to understand them, followed the tutorials (looks to me several times) and ONLY came on here and asked when it was your absolute last resort, thats how most of us have learned what we know ( i myself rely alot on trial and error, its the best tool i have used for this game so far, never lets me down), and thats the kind of ppl i am willing to help, those other noobs who dont want to make any effort, cant stand them, i usually get an infraction when i reply to them, cus i hate them, not as much as i hate the ppl that spoon feed them, but hate them just the same.
so i for one, would like to thank you for not being one of those annoying, ignorant, lazy, effortless noobs that want it all handed to them on a platter, much respect keep up the effort
Okay so it has been SOLVED! THe issue was the .exe file. I tried 10Tab(seph) launcher and it works! Thank you for all the help! Thank you again for the launcher credit goes to those that made it as I did not create it. Now to find a clean BMR client so I can start buidling!

the server exes wont give u any error using the share out this client.
download it unpack it and only thing u gotta change is the bin folder . which i will give u since u seem like some 1 that rlly want to learn and not like all the others here . i already told alot ppl that wanna learn how to dev to use this client but they wont listen cus they are to lazy to make an unique self made client ! if u need any further help just ask , we like to help people if they rlly want to learn it ! this bin folder will work with the unpacked client , and goodluck with it
I will download that tonight when im off of work. This will surely help out and make a huge difference! I cant wait to get into this. Okay guys im off to search for some more TUT's on how to read/translate csv's that are in the gibberish and how to patch them back to the client. ( side note: I had a error that i figured out in case anybody reads this and has come across it here is a possible fix. )
Error: When using a skill my health drops and so does my mana.. Like alot of health 50k worth lol.
Fix: In this case my client was not dc'ing me but here is the reason it happened: My stats were too high, any stats in spr, str and such cannot be over 65k like decima said in this post. Once I lowered that, my health and mana would work as normal. Just a heads up for anybody that does not know this or may be learning like I am.

you can try a background service to update clients
so when they are not playing they game can be updated
however, if ini's dont match, your pretty well f****ed
SVN would work, IF you manually update it
i had this updater for KalOnline for some time, it does the job very well, but there are a few things about it
you just have to put the files into the 'web folder' as they are (unzipped) and run that PHP file, the updater will check that file for changes, then downloads files and done

Okay so I downloaded this client and this bin folder. I am also using the seph 10 tab launcher. which is placed inside the bin folder.
I have changed the channelist and loginlist ini's and the version. and cannot connect to server. IM thinking that this may be because of the gameguard files ( 2moons protection for the people that dont know ) and im not sure if I need to bypass it in some way.
Another thing... After closing the launcher I get an error about the write method not open in the cache.csv in the ad folder. ( for those reading this that dont know: this is stored in the data folder.
Any tips or hints are appreciated. I missed something but trying to start from scratch with the clean client posted here as was suggested by conquer93.
