Hello, I have recently noticed Dekaron, and quickly became interested, (thanks ConArtist), well, I noticed that not only do you guys run off MSSQL, but you also share similarity to Shaiya servers, and other servers my 'team' has developed.

Me, and around 2 other devs have decided, to take one of the server sorces here, and edit them to be as much like the current version of the offical game WITH AS LITTLE BUG/GLITCHES as possible. Please know this is going to be a 4-6 month project, and THIS thread will be used for all updates that we will have.

Well I give you a suggestion for the server , you can't make it action 9 100 % but you can make it more good then evolution one , the aspect of a pserver and NPCs shortcuts are very important , small things and cheap are very apreciable by dekaron players for example 50x potions in 1 slot , Candys and other buff s at NPC , more easy way to get crevice stones , 1x exp like evolution got and modified character stats bar like evolution have , you can lvl up from CQ reward in dekaron evolution bec of the ext stats bar , well SMALL things will atract alot of players because on a pserver you can't do to much , but most of pserver are saying they do and that's not true.

This are just a few examples from a bunch of ideas , also making pets and editing them like summoner ones won't atract players bec they want dekaron in a original way , that means tryng to make new skils , new maps and others like RB won't atract the players .

No, people are missing the ENTIRE point of the thread, this is not about makeing a server, this is about making a STABLE, server soruce, with minumal lag/bugs..

u can't fix the bugs , for example transformation skil on a pserver is not a bug , it's just a skil maked from scratch by a DEV to make it lock like orignal one , if you want a NON BUGED SERVER you must make it pure ACTION 3 bec the client pservers are using is action 3 , and server files like action 9 can't run good with action 3 client that's why there is no 12 slots in skil bar for example

I'm pretty sure someone told me that exact same thing on shaiya, but I mandged to get a fully functional EP5 server up, it's all in the brain.exe, and time.exe.

Plus with a little imagination, and smarts, and time, ANYTHING can be fixed somehow.

Best thing still would be an emulator based on the current Gamehi official client but that has never been developped since it was easyer just to go with the leaked A3 server files

Are you talking about sniffing the packets? and decrypting them?

Err no, I'm not really impersonating anything, but umm I just wasn't clear on his post. :/ we know what we're doing if that's what you mean.

It would be nice if you were able to emulate every feature, but all we really need are more tools to edit the game. It'd be great if we were able to add our own meshes and whatnot, edit in-game maps or even add new ones. Adding effects to costumes would be cool, and so would the ability to change quests, CQs and dungeons.

Then again, we don't even know what we're capable of with the A3 executable. It would be nice for someone to crack it open and write a reference guide for "developers" -- I can add effects to NPCs, wings, weapons and mobs.. but what about costumes? The column is there in the csv, which means it might be supported, but none of the costumes have effects, so we don't know how to link effects to them through modeleffect.csv. The same goes for many other columns in many of the other csvs. Some of it is new, having been added after A3, but a lot of it has been there for quite a while.
