[RELEASE] Fastest Mass Spawn

If you have tried to use the Laiden mass spawn hack at the end of Treasure of Crespo, you should see that it only spawns about 1 Ego per second. After messing around with the vac script in CE, I had no luck making anything faster, but I knew it could be done. So, I went to winhex and looked around for anything that might help. I got it working, but only with winhex. Here's how:


First off, the things you will need are found here (give the releasers thanks, because without them, this would have been impossible):

Unpacker:

Winhex or a CSV-editing program:

CRC bypass:


Once you've unpacked your data, go to Date, Share, Action, Monster. This folder has all of the CSVs that are the "animations" or movements that each mob does for various things. If you take a look at the Ivid Laiden (reiden.act.2732) you will see all of the various animations that it could do. The only ones we care about are the Attack animations. The one with the number 9 next to it relates to summoning, so you only need to edit that one.

The 3rd parameter after the animation file name, you will see the Time Length. Change all of those to 0. This will make it so that when it goes to summon an Ego, it will not have to go through the animation, and the Ego will spawn instantly.


Now to edit the number of mobs it will spawn, and how long it waits in between spawns.

Go to Data, Share, AI, Info. This has the mob information without the names, just with the numbers. Find the beginning of the Ivid Laiden info (..2732). If you take a look at the 16th parameter after 2732, you will see a number 4. This means that up to 4 mobs will vac to you. To edit this, you need to replace nearby 0 parameters with just a comma.

This keeps the same number of parameters and doesn't change the 0 values (a blank comma = 0). With my edited line, up to 9,999 mobs will vac to me.

Look a little further down that line and you will see this:

3,30000

This tells us how many mobs it will spawn, and the time in between spawns. In this case, it will spawn a max of 3 Egos, and it will wait 30 seconds in between spawns.

So, we want to make it spawn as many mobs, as fast as we possibly can, without going over our vac limit of 9,999:

9999,01

That keeps the size of our pack the same and it will stop spawning mobs at 9999. And, because of our earlier edit, it will actually spawn 1 faster than 1 per second.

Using this, I get around 3 or 4 per second. Make sure you edit and make them all non-agro or you'll be owned by around 20 Egos in 2 second, haha.

it works on any boss that spawns mobs if you edit them correctly

it depends on your level as to how much xp you will get. my 11x summy and seg get 11,320xp per hatchling, but i think 9x only get around 8k xp or so.
