DONT use freecam/debug cam on community servers
I was just banned from a Russian server. I immediately checked on CFTools. The reason for the ban: "Cheater (Debug camera)". The admin attached a screenshot as evidence (thanks, you idiot), which I'm sharing with you here:
I can't read Russian, so I had an AI translate the screenshot, and this is what I got:
Details of the messages:
Player Name: REDACTED
SteamID: REDACTED
Message: Detection of a camera change by the player.
Distance from the player: Specified in meters:
First message: 43.2839 meters
Second and third messages: 510.352 meters
Positions: Three different positions are displayed, presumably coordinates on the DayZ map:
REDACTED X; Y; Z COORDINATES
REDACTED X; Y; Z COORDINATES (This position is reported twice)
The messages include links with the text "Click", which likely lead to more details. The player is likely being monitored because their camera or view changes appear unusual. This could indicate cheats or unusual camera manipulation.
I was already banned with another account from a very well-known German-based server just a few hours after using freecam. Before using the freecam, I had been cheesing on that server for months without any issues. I already suspected that the reason for the ban back then was the freecam (it was a different cheat provider than this time, FYI). Now I know for sure.

LOL. everyone knew this was the case but its pretty funny that you have concrete evidence. it became common knowledge that servers use keyloggers because a russian server did this exact same thing and put the evidence into the public domain, so that any doubts over the keylogger were crushed. its pretty egregious that big servers can have a keylogger and face no consequences lol

I dont think that this is widely known because:
- there isnt much info on that specific topic
- most cheese providers say their freecam feature is safe to use on community servers. the more responsible ones may mark it as potentially unsafe. both is misleading. freecam simply is not safe to use on community servers.

Well every server doesn't have this check. It checks your local position with the server position
It is not like we don't want to be transparent; it is because it isn't black and white. Some servers have the feature, some don't. We can't actively go around on every single server to inform users about which features are safe or not

Yeah, freecam/debug cam gets flagged fast now. CFTools logs every sudden cam move, even if you’re not doing anything else. Using it on community servers = auto ban. Better to avoid it entirely.

it's not about actively testing servers and inform the users which particular ones are safe/unsafe. that'd be ridiculous. it's about being more transparent that there's a high likelihood to get banned and flagged as a cheater (cftools) thereby making your account almost useless when using freecam. i'm not attacking you in particular btw. i dont know how you handle it.
you said they check local position with server position. do you know if this is always done by mod(s) that are hidden somewhere in the usual annoying 1-5gb "XYZ server mod pack" or is it there other ways to check that? In my OP case it's a russian anti cheat mod that's part of the skyfall mod pack.
If it's always some mod, I could check the pbo's and identify these servers without getting banned. wouldnt mind sharing a small list of safe/unsafe servers.

There are a trillion ways to detect that the position is being changed, some servers have their own unique implementations. It is a mod that checks it locally by how fast it is changing or sends a position to the server and checks it with the server value

If you're trying to figure out how much a base costs to raid, you've come to the right place.
I'll find you the most efficient raid path/any weak points in your enemy's base design.
With my raid tutorial you'll know exactly how much you need to farm to complete a raid, as well as who lives in the base and how much loot they might have.
For small-ish bases (3x3 and smaller) I'll do it for free in exchange for a vouch.
Bases larger than 3x3: $2.50 paypal

Hey,
ich möchte meine alte Ps2 Eye Toy Kamera als dürftige Webcam nutzen. Ich weiß, dass das definitiv möglich ist. Jedoch bekomme ich immer folgende Fehlermeldung:
http://i.epvpimg.com/jI4qg.png
