1) Find spare USB storage, 128GB minimum (256GB or more recommended). 2 or more drives recommended but not required.
2) Use Windows Media Creation tool to create ISO
3) Use Rufus to create bootable Windows USB drive, ensure you select
"Windows to Go" option. Select option to block other drives.
4) Plug in your Windows To Go USB Drive, and boot to it.
5) Install and play DayZ on your fresh Windows 10 installation + HWID
Additional Steps...highly recommended!
6) Create your "template setup". Install DayZ, your favorite browser, proxy program, any favorite programs (Ninite helps save time here). You want it set up, right up to the point where you would start launching your cheat and playing DayZ
7) Create a clone of your template setup. There are programs that can create a clone from a file that lives on your hard drive (takes up extra space), and there are programs that can clone the drive to another drive. I highly recommend instead of creating a clone that lives on your drive, you should just keep the original drive *as is*, for a backup, and clone that backup to other USB drives you have.
***IMPORTANT FINAL STEP! DON'T SKIP***
Use
to spoof *all* Mac Addresses. I've confirmed BE logs HWID and your MAC Address.(If nobody has outlined these specifics steps, I'll just call it the "IT method")
So, let's get into it. I'm back for another round of trying to help the community avoid detection in DayZ. All I'm doing is sharing a common challenge I've faced and shared what I did to beat that challenge. Previously, we established how to avoid being banned from servers you've been previously detected on which run CF-Tools. Guides for that seem relatively ubiquitous now. Now nobody needs to waste a bunch of accounts trying to figure out how or why they keep getting banned from DayOne or elsewhere.
Next, I'd like to tackle spoofing. The cheat I was using was detected some months back, and with that detection came a HWID ban. I was under the impression HWID's were hard to get, and mine came with my 2nd VAC ban, so evidently they aren't that hard to get.
The current consensus on BattlEye HWID bans is the HWID is linked to the hard drive. Which hard drive? Certainly the drive DayZ was installed on. I don't know for sure but it's extremely likely the operating system drive is flagged as well. Someone here may have determined that, but I didn't find any info on it here. Better safe than sorry in this instance given the time we're spending.
The common bypass when people experience HWID bans is spoofing. You can find a variety of traders selling spoofers on this site. In my opinion, spoofing is unnecessary, expensive, and dated. The RAID0 method, or my method, renders software spoofing unnecessary. These spoofers either require an expensive upfront lifetime cost, or have a subscription model. Do you really want to spend a bunch of money and add risks when you can simply spend 2 hours to do it the right way? I mentioned spoofing is dated because BattlEye itself is dated. HWID keys tied to drives is archaic in modern computing because drives are cheap and can easily be swapped.
You can buy barely used 256GB SSDs off Ebay for under $20 if you live in the USA, and a SATA to USB 3.0 tool for $10. Or simply get a 256GB thumb drive for $20 from Amazon. Each one will last until your next HWID ban, so unless you're getting banned often, you'll likely be set for life with a just a few drives. I'd imagine many of us have extra drives laying around from over the years.
Yes, I lied by calling it 'spoofing'. It's basic circumvention and there's no spoofing involved. I simply used that keyword to attract people who are looking for spoofing software, and for them to reconsider the premise of spoofing in the first place.
Why is this better than spoofing? Cheap. Easy. Fulfills requirements to circumvent HWID ban. No chance of detection. No subscriptions. No confusion as to what software got you banned. Makes life easier. The only way spoofing could be better is convenience, but from my experience, relying on a group of anonymous hackers from across the world isn't always convenient.
Why is this better than RAID0? RAID0 requires reinstalling Windows and losing your current Windows installation. Setting up RAID0 every time you're HWID banned would be costly from a time perspective.
If anyone has any specific questions feel free to ask, though pretty much all of it is straight-forward and could be clarified you by ChatGPT.
