I have been PM'd quite a bit on this topic, so I just wanted to make a thread to answer it, and keep a database for any further questions. I want to say this now, that this is my opinion, and if anyone else has a different idea or better way, feel free to comment below. I will add it to this thread, and give you credit for it.
PS: I'm assuming you are already Basic FE (full lf3 + bo2 + iris)
Here we go:
The Boxing Way:
THANK ME LATER, BUT PLEASE SEND SEPROM EVERY TIME YOU CAN, AND JUST BUILD UP THE SEPROM STACK ON YOUR LASERS/SHIELDS (just lasers if you bot a lot). You will be very happy you did so when you're ready to hunt.
Pretty self explanatory. I will explain this using an easy to read layout. BUY A DOUBLER PLEASE, buying premium is also worth it (for when you die, free reps etc.) *Credits to werwerf
1. Using a bot, collect uridium and use that uridium to buy a PET.

Then you use the booty keys you get from that and SAVE them, until ZEUS day. Its better to get apis and LF4's on zeus days, that way you can get them all. Remember, your primary goal here is APIS parts, you don't care about LF4's right now. So don't spend keys on LF4 day's.

On average it takes about 30-40 kappa's and about 5-10 LF4's with it.. If your lucky, you can get in 20. If your not, can take up to 50-60. The way I look at it is that the more gate's it takes, the better. As you get LF4's along the way and you don't lose focus.

4. At this point, you should have minimum: 9 Drones, full hav/herc. You should probably have a ZEUS aswell. Now, you want to work on upgrading your DRONES. You can either do them now, or do them as you unlock zeta gate's. Either way it doesn't matter, bcuz your not PVP'ing anytime soon.
5. Now, you want to unlock LF4's and upgrade them as you go. Two ways to do this, keep doing KAPPA's, or box and buy booty keys and use them on LF4 day's. This is a personal preference. You can also do group hades, but I find that boring to do, and not a good %. By this point, you know what your doing, so upgrade your BO2's/Rocket Launcher and get ready for PVP!
Basically, this is the way to get UFE. It's the easiest way to get there, and requires the least man hours. Of course, you are botting, so always a chance to get banned if you're not careful.

THE PALLADIUM WAY
Only difference between this and the above method is that, you're collecting in 5-3 instead of boxing. That's it really. A personal preference aswell.
NPC Botting Way
I personally use Candybot. You have 2 options here:
- Shoot NPC's in x-3 or in x-4. Speed is better for this botting, you also ge the most rank points from this method, but most likely less uridium than method 2. ( you dont need a super strong ship for this method, basic FE is fine )
- NPC bot in x-6 / x-7. For this method you would require a stronger ship, SEMI UFE or higher. You put on diamond formation
and full lasers on drones[battle] and kill everything except BBK's.
The Legit Way
This is the most time consuming way, but in my view the most rewarding. The steps are the same, however the method to unlock the gate's are different.
1. Kill Bk's / sk's / bsk's / bbk's

--------> I personally did this for A LONG TIME on my first UFE account. I used to do this legit, no circle tools, no drone formations/ none of that. Just go find a bk, drag it to port, circle it and kill it. Repeat. Of course, now its wayyyy easier to do. All you need to do is invest in Diamond formation
, and sit there and kill it. You don't even need to circle it anymore, or move in any way. This is a longer method, it gives you a lot of credits and ep but time consuming.
2. Kill Cubes (Solo or Group)

--------> If you are strong enough, feel free to solo cubes. Gives good uri/ep/honor/credits. It's a really effective method. If you're not, find a buddy who's an
, get in one yourself. And grind out the sab/x2's to kill cubes all day. You can easily kill 50 cubes per session (how long you play) and get about 25k uri. Not as easy as botting/pally but its good to chat and play.
That concludes my guide, I had to rush it a little, so excuse the design and formatting. My personal style is to play killing bk/cubes during the day and when I go to sleep, I bot my ship overnight/until I play. This combines the best method(botting) with the most fun method(npc killing). It gives you the sense of accomplishment as you did grind towards UFE and also not waste your life as your also botting.
Like I said above, this is just my opinion and serve it as a guide. The way you play darkorbit, is all up to YOU.
