Bonusbox-botting has a serious cooldown and doesen't wort anymore. You have to bot boxes and aliens together.
On the other side palladium is full of hunters because of empty server and 5-3 is the last place to make quests. Good luck, botting palladium in 5-3 seems very hard

If you could decide between GE2 and GE7 - what would you choose, in terms of activity and fun?

I'm currently playing on GE2 with 4 accounts, it's still fairly active and some GE5 players are joining us. If you're a PVP player you need a group though most don't know what a 1v1 is, ranks aren't that high imo I don't know how high the ranks in GE7 are though. I've played on GE2 since 2009 and love the server so that's my 2cents on it.

if u mean global europe 7,it has some active players,not too many,the ranks are a bit high in my opinion,and most of the players are in a good level.I play there,thats what i see...
