Game is 100 times easier then DO, in 1 week you can have the best ship with good equipement. And if the game is too easy, and you can be full in 1 day, it's not fun.

You could go to 4-4 to collect ressources over 500k credits/h
Fast way to be rich in short time:
Base -> Middle Portal -> 4-1,4-2 or 4-3 -> Your 4-4 Portal -> Ressources
