I've only watched 'some' videos of black galaxy and it didnt look too special, just saying..
Anyways, I'd like to ask you to motivate these specific statement of yours,

Additionally, I'm not looking for any "future" with this.
What I'd do if it gets to a playable state is to release a server build so that anyone can host their own servers.
I'm primarily making this so that me and my closer gaming friends can do small skirmish battles, likely.
But I will try to develop it further than so, with module upgrades etc.
can you add normal engine? can you use old darkorbit sprites? i can give you, if you can make a old darkorbit, i would be grateful. i have all images which you need to make old spacemap look
dude if u could make an exact clone of darkorbit with free uridium or at least cheaper prices it would be great and u could have a lot of users.blackgalaxy sucks btw. i saw some vids on youtube...

I'll make the game graphics as much of a clone of the 2.0 client version as I can.
It came to my mind though, that I might be able to make some function like "applying texture packs", where you can pretty much set the graphics your self..
It might be possible, so it should be able to fit everyones needs =P
A lot of people did not like the current engine trail, so I'll probably change it a lot and try to make it look better/more original.
Also, I can't develop on the game right now, since I have no open ports on this net, so it doesn't allow me to debug the game.
I'm not sure of when I will be back home to work on it.

i'm still programming a Darkorbit "clone" with Singelplayer (25% finished) and Multiplayer (comes if i have programmed the server software). IOrbit is 100% without graphics or names from BP and is coded in C#.
