I don't know if it's possible, but it would be amazing for players and pixel bot if we could add the attack range of an npc so we can circle him without taking damages
Here is an example :
(blue circle = range ; it's not the real range, it's just an example)

I think it's possible, because in the game.xml, all the ships have those attributes :
Maybe the click radius is what you're looking for

Nope, I'm talking about the max range between the alien and you, I think it's the same on all npcs so maybe we can put the blue circle on the crosshair (the red thing when you lock a npc). Putting it on the crosshair is the best thing to do so you don't see a blue circle around all NPCs and it works for pixelbot

Yeah, I didn't read your post correctly
And no, this is not possible by modifying the .swf, the only things we can change are client side things, but this is on the server side

??? Just modify the crosshair sprite by putting on it a blue circle, it's not serverside since it's only a sprite

Ok, now I understand what you meant, sorry, it's the morning
So yes, this is possible, and easy. The only "ahrd" thing to do is to find the range of every npc...

I think it will be pretty hard because every alien has it's own attack range. It means that you can't just replace the crosshair thingy because you would still need to change it for other aliens with other attack ranges. But it's still possible

Wasn´t that something like 700? And player shoot range like 800 or something like that? I beleive I once tested it out few years ago with the player range but I am not sure. And npc was about 700 if I remember correctly.

I used PBDO and I always put the radius on max for circling. The max radius was like 700-720

If I remember well you can't change the sprite of a swf for a bigger one than the original

Coordinates. On the minimap you can see them. 1 coordinate is like 100 of the units we are talking about. So the coordinates of eg 100/90 at minimap would be 100000/9000 in the system.
