yeah i was wondering. they didnt touch my old effects.ini file which i basically butchered to death. they must of replaced it with something else. someone please let me know if theyve figured it out. thanks

well, what u can do is edit the dds files
for example, arrows dds, its like a long fire stick image, what u can do is make the whole image to the exact same color as the background then save
in game, it will only show u are shooting normal arrows
same with those other dds files, personally i hate the 2nd rb bless, so i blank it =)

how good is that program? i looked at the link and since it was his first attempt at making a program it looks kinda shiesty. please elaborate .

or even better, does anyone know which files control the effects? it used to be the 3deffect.ini but no longer it seems.

sexymrhand, all I can tell ya is that it gets rid of all the effects and keeps me from dc'ing in tg. It has a couple options, like if you want to keep arrows or whatever but I've never used those.

I do have to reinstall the latest patch after I use this to do the newest crappy quest. But that's a minor inconvenience since I can now stay connected when I'm in tg.

To remove all effects (except arrows):

1. Find file: conquer-folder/ini/3deffect.ini
2. Backup the original file
3. Open the file with an text editor
4. Delete the whole content of the file and save it

Negative side effect: the portals from map to map cant be seen anymore

i already mentioned that they changed the way they control this. i tried and they changed it it seems. also btw that cor source prog doesnt work on vista it seems.

My way does work with patch 5000. I use it everday - and no more lag in tg

Does it only remove arrows and rb stuff? or would it change superman and all too?
