Help with Hexing Conquer.exe

So, I'm trying to hex Conquer.exe (ver. 5095) and I was wondering if 000002C0 was the right hex address where they have limited your FPS to 39-40.. But I switched 2 40's into 99's and I couldn't open my conquer.exe anymore. Lol. Yes, I'm a newb at this, that's why I'm asking some help or uhh advices? =x

Since you edited the .exe is it possible for TQ to recognize the change, and therefore ban/other you for the modified .exe?
