DB codes generator

Hey guys,
I wanted to ask how come no one ever made a db code generator? Cause it'll be very usefull and it should be to hard to make...
(About the fact that CO mangers can track u down u should just use a noob lvl 50 to get the mets and trade them for like 1 gold with ur char and so its like this noob is realy dumb or something lol)

So will anyone make this?

this is possible my friend made 1 but when u credit the codes ur char gets banned right away cuz there no legit codes.

hmmm not possible, i doubt anyone can get this thing to work without knowing how it generates those codes. So unless you can get in their system and get that procedure its not possible and even then i doubt that they be stupid enough to not ban u no matter who u bought them from.

I dont understand what's the prob? If you get like 10-15 working db codes you should be able to make a generator that will be the same as CO generator so how could they know if the code is legit or not? and again if u run this from an internet coffe or something like that and u use an ip hiding software it should be next to impossible to track u down and know that u are the one who made it...

lol you wouldnt get any legal against u if u find ways to make u lvl up or get better items.... if that were true sv would be none existing.....


oh yah this is possible with some type of a keygen.... but if it were released then that would ruined the game

Its not possible at all, the codes are validated when you pay for them then sent to you, no payment, no valid codes so no dbs.

What he means is that, absolutely no db codes exist until you pay them. That is when a request is sent to generate and list a new valid db code on the server. So the only way to do this would be to steal someone else dbs, which is impossible without hacking the tq server.

You cant "generate" db codes with a keygen because it compares with the server database to see if that code actually exists, whereas a serial checker on a trial program simply runs the code you input through a aglorithm to see if it is true.

I think the question being asked is, "What is the algorithm used for generating the DB codes?", because if you knew that, it becomes exploitable as people buy new codes and you can hijack before they get chance to use it.

The DB code for example, appears to be generated merely from a counter, such that it's the primary key in a DB. You can tell if you buy DB codes in succession, they're just incrementing numbers.

The password however, appears to be random, and I'm pretty sure it is. Amateur hackers will take offense by the word "random", because they can't be generated in a true sense by algorithm alone. It depends on what they are using to generate their random numbers.

If by chance they are using the standard windows rand() they use all over the client, then it is not truly random, it is seeded by some number using srand(), and then each successive result seeds the next. Thus, if they by some chance were stupid enough to srand() with the DBCode, then rand() to get the pass, that is easily hackable. The chance of them doing this is slim, as is the chance of you working out how they've done it.

A good random algorithm will incorperate time (or tick count), which is virtually impossible to know and exploit remotely, since you also have latency, which truly is random.

As people have mentioned, trying to exploit parts of monetary services like this is a bumpy road, not worth the legal risk at all.
