BI soc hack???

its rumoured to be running in Pharos, and maybe other, to me, ive been about 17mnths, and only been visiting here 6mnths, so this is somewhat an urbanlegend, can someone give me info on this

well its said its bk up and running somehow, theres a guy who is getting 2-3 2socs a week regular and ******* everyone off doing so...lol
oh and a recent screenie of a certain member wiht a elite boots on his hands...lol

that WAS possible LOOOOOOONG LOOOOOONG time ago as bunnyshaket said...
it was about changing the files (dont remember how) so armor,boots,ring,necky,headgear was readed by server as a weapon...

using a hexedit tool? or something, and wearing the item on ur hands while db'ing it up :S
i know it will crash the economy, and get people in trouble....but my desire for 2socs are greater than there worries haha
so if anyone has any firm info, please post

You would hex edit the itemtype.dat and change your armor, necklace, ring etc. whatever you wanted to socket into a weapon and wear the items. Then you would go to BI and go to artisanou and socket with a DB or five. Unfortunately, this was patched.

i understand it was patched that time, but it is more than known that there is a "new" soc trick where as 2nd socs are obtained faster than single socs, people that had a lvl 80 troj as a first and only char are parading about in 2soc rdg equips, boasting of there soc making abilities, also there is a well known person in my server who makes 3-4 2socs a week :S thats not jsut rbing his gear repeatedly, hes been known to "hack" before and i really think a way round the previous patch has been found, or just a new way of doing it, stuff succesfull soc times, hes always around BI when this "luck" happens so go figure :S

yea i think it was a thing of bs i guess mabye u cud **** wif da npc file in the ini file kinda doubt you could do that tho
