they could easily implement some detection for people modifying their exe's.
Could being the key word lol but i find it odd they wouldn't have allready implimented this long ago along with any file editing for that matter which could have easily be prevented at anytime with a simple few lines of added code or even a quick integrity check on clientside files of some sort.

Again a workaround would probably be done but at least they would be trying to stop it.They have had what 3-4 years now to prevent clientside file editing and have chose not to ? Why would they start now?

The fact of the matter the way i see it is Co is soon to be doomed like M&M after they have bleed everyone dry of there $$ in db sales they will simply drop support of co and release yet another game to be there new cashcow and co will be 100% bots/cheats. If they cared about co at all they would have taken steps long ago to prevent it from being hacked so easily..I mean anygame is goin to have cheats but at least most companies try to prevent it.Co does nothing to stop it infact i think they encourage it to some extent.

That is just my 2 cents on it heh

At least with IP checks they would be able to control the number of clients connecting to the server at once while CRC checks could be easily patched.

Combining the IP checks with open proxy monitors would make it an hard task for normal users to get more than 2 clients running.

It would be monumentally easy to detect concurrent connections from the same IP and wouldn't take a huge update to do so, maybe 6 or 7 lines of code on the connect/disconnect routines that's all.

There's many reasons this wouldn't be a good move and probably why they haven't done it before. Net cafés for instance usually use the same IP for all the PCs, and a lot of DB business is done with people who use net cafés. Home networks as well will generally use the same IP for the PCs using it, even some ISPs work with a VPN or NAT system that make all the users share the same IP. It would be a definate shot in the foot if they did this as multiple connections from the same IP does not mean that someone is multiclienting.
This is So True~ I was so worried lmao!! Didnt think of that, and I had no idea people used Computer cafes for Conquer... o.O lmao kewl kewl~

i have 3 computers and if tq wants to confirm this i can open full network privileges to them using port forwarding. i dont think tq will do this because there actually are users who dont multiclient and actually do have more than one pc, banning those users would be false and therefore illegal on their part.

What the **** does it matter if you multiclient or use more than one PC?

In the end, you're gaining the unfair advantage of having moe clients open. TQ didn't put the 2 client limit there because they think your comp can only handle 2, its there because they dont WANT you to open more than 2, even if you've got 10 PCs to do it on. They want 2 clients per user, not two per PC.

Also, TQ have the any right to ban users, theres nothing illegal on their part.

what server are you on?

For people that dont understand the concept of IP's

If your on a network, all the trafic goes out the same gateway (that is, non-local traffic), now, when it leaves this gateway the IP is changed in the packet header so that the server the gateway is sending to knows where to send it back, the IP will be changed to your PUBLIC IP! the one that is seen by others, not your PRIVATE IP which is your local network IP, such as 192.168.***.*** and 10.0.0.x these are local, so CO will be monitoring your PUBLIC IP, so no matter how many PC's you have on your network the Public IP for all of them is the same.

So as Qonquer said, go get yourself some hacked boxes and setup a proxy on them :P

I guess this is out of the question for most people, however, you can get shell accounts from alot of places, some will allow you to make some scripts to bounce the connection. This is still a fair bit of work, and if this does come into play, People arent going to be wanting to give out their proxy code and shell account providers.
