@Kitsune: Ahhh i know very little about packets, in general i know how they work but not the details of them, i was thinking of downloading the packet catcher sender and decrypter thing but i havent made any contributions to the site yet so i figure i wont use too much of your guys stuff without giving back a little.
@Ultima, So do you know if it would be random or if you could pretty well target it
@Peach, Well how do you figure the ways of doing it, packet sending the same way as him.
I could definetly see sending something thats in a packet that they removed certain parts of in game or something causing an error to dc or crash the client definetly 100% possible

1. as long as there is someone else on the screen you cant d/c yourself with it
2. if there is only one other person on the screen he will be the target for sure
3. if there are more people its not realy random cause if you d/c someone and he reloges you can immediatly d/c him again and again and so on maybe its the lowes id oder it has to do something with coordinates i don`t know
4. a mass d/c if i remember correct d/c everyone including you maybe it was except you^^

i really want to know of a way to prevent this. its so annoying when i get a good seat in market...
well a sure way is to find out how to do it, and leak it out to the co world. then TQ will definitely do something about it.
and i thought this was my video card problem

i dont know if this is one of these disconects bugs but sometimes i get a strange error and DC and then when i try to login i get a login error or login impossible...

I think therefore i know that if you buy 400k worth of fireworks and set em off itll couse so much lag thatll itll disconnect people...atleast my friend told me..400k= 40 fire works.

its kinda happened to me before. i accidently d/ced my friend cuz of it. all i did was i had a weapon that was almost broken on my right hand and a weapon on the left. when my right hand weapon wore out and disappeared it sent an invalid packet to my friend who d/ced. thats one of the easy ways to d/c people.

hehe i had several ways to dc ppl in co 1...my all time favourite was using my 127 warrior-warrior wile he stood outside gw gates and every1 was dead and made my firerat attack gate and boom every1 dc and to jail they went. They finally patched it like 2 months ago, sigh. another great one is to get all supers and get a few friends and buy full inv of fireworks...hold down cool...spam smileys and set of fireworks...works everytime...^^even tho it dc u too :P(by friends i meant around 10 ppl btw..)

I have that packet that can do 1,2 and 3... It would be good if I was able to get the trade packet d/c..
(Some dude called grog used it on me in TC [Ruby] and it closed my conquer and came up with a thing saying "Runtime Error")..
I would love to get that one.. but the otherone is still pretty cool..

Oh for *** sakes, erroring people from mmorpg's has been around for years, simply make a loader in vb or whatever you choose, make a packet filter and filter out that particular packet. I know a nasty one on a game i used to play where they would edit the text of a photograph to be a bit of code from the game protocol that was faulty and then they would trade it to you.. errored. An Anti-error could be easily implemented if the code is always the same. Download wpe pro and record the code when you get errored, simple as that, i mean.. you could even use wpe to filter it out ffs.. simple

hmm get the packed reader and save the packets you get when people are dcing you, the dc packet should be with them.
