Contributing is more like helping other users getting their programs working correctly, or making your own hacks and sharing them with the forum.

lol i suck at that stuff.. tried hex editor but couldnt figure out anything... so that means since i dont know how to help or anything i cant use the forum? thats kinda unfair i think

If you would please re-read my previous post, I said that contributing would be making programs OR helping others getting theirs working. So even if you don't know how to make hacks, you can help others.

I've been leaching for while and I am very greatful for all the hacks I've downloaded. I don't have have hacks/advise/cheats that will benefit the forum but I can perhaps help by donating some money to this site. Not that I have much money but would like to contribute something....

I have almost no posts too, because I can't help people out w/ progs n stuff, but I think that that leads to a good idea... if a user has donated money to the site, they can keep their account despite # of posts and stuff? although that gets into some other **** people may not want to get into... =/

Lowfyr...do something =) ban some noobs by IP...lets do that forum a small but powerful again

i am pretty ****** in programming (Polish environment and 16 yrs old) and the thread is prolly bout me also.
Did i download files from here freely? True.
Did i give nothing back? True.
Did i become more powerful in game just because of this forum? True.
But (!) there is a chance for me. Atm i know just a bit of pascal, but i already have some ideas of what to do to improve CO. However i have no idea which programming language shall i start to leanr, which compiler to use and where is a g00d guide to learn things needed for stuff like here. With some help from u guys, you can create another epvper pretty useful to the community

THX to all for what i have gathered so far, i owe you all a good beer

@ViTiN123: IP banning might work, but proxy servers do well, and summ ppl have dynamic ip (like me)

You should REALLY remove your nick IG from sig and xfire as well...

Yeah, exactly what i would do. XD. We need to ask a professional about this..i dont know like somebody who has owned a very popular website? and how to keep noobs away or something? not a very good idea but thats all i have for now

I don't really support bannings, because of some incidents I've noticed while I've been here. Fore example, a couple of noobs first posts are very stupid and usually look noob, he gets liek -10 karma, later he comes up with a pretty good macro I've never seen before (which means he couldn't steal it).

On the other hand, if you're gonna ban noobs then IP ban wouldn't be that bad. If he's a total noob he won't figure out any proxy or unless he'll try to format his comp -___-;

I think the best idea is to force people having a valid email account, after 2nd/3rd warning delete the account and ban the email from being used again so that they have to register a new one if they wanted to come back to this forum.

Also, ban throwaway email addresses for example dodgeit, and email addresses which you could create easily eg. aol/t-online. Clever users use other email services anyway because some mailservers even block such addresses.

We could also popup a big warning screen for new users where they have to enter "AGREE" in small letters to get in, this keeps away a very high percentage of the idioits who don't even bother reading or writing properly.

or you could make a popup window that doesent get away for like 3 windows, and if they notice that something is different (on every window) or something....or ask them questions about what they read? i dont know...... its kinda hard to think of stuff....
