The Monster .dat files.

My problem is once I copy pasted them to my ini file, I could nolonger see the life of the monsters I am fighting, kings look like aides and messengers.

I need to reverse what I did, but doing that means getting my old Monster.dat file back, and that is what I need, because upon pasting it to the CO>>ini file, it overwrit another file.

So, could somebody help me out here?

its old.....and it was prob for co1.... or it just plain out doesent work anymore....

The Monster.dat for the Co2 client has a simple encryption sequence.

Neither of you really helped me. I need to get the original file back that was replaced by the .dat file. I need to original Monster.dat, or, to be SHOWN the way to reverse this.

The old monster.dat for the Co1 client no longer works for any purpose, so you can discard it anyway.

As for a guide on editing it. My guide is detailed enough. If you don't understand it, then the best solution for you is to use flowerpot's editor, and then just use a text editor for your modifications.

I inculded the decryptor (by flowerpot) and the unedited monster.dat in the attachment.

If you used this ignorant hack and it worked just as bad as it did for me since it is old, I fixed it and this is how::

Got a fellow CO player to send me the Monster.dat file from their CO program file.

Uploaded it from them, replaced the modificated one, and deleted the two accompanieng .dat with it.
