hmm im wondering if we could use a packet editor to find out what met is normal met and what met is a socket met or is it random what met socketS

A mets a met
Its an algorithm on the server that decideds sockets.

So is it possible to get a soc by spamming mets on my lvl 110 super +3 atack ring?

I was thinking about this a lot latly. I don't know how true this is, but I heard the change of getting a soc while using a met tear is 9%. And you can make 19 met tears at once. So that 171% chance of getting a soc if thats true. o.0 Anyone want to test?

something like this has been posted before, i think if you leave your met and your ( going to socket) item in the tc artisan and wait untill maintenance without loggin out... estimate when it will be over and try to keep logging on like 3 mins earlier... I think there is a chance you may get a socket.. not really sure. I maybe wrong, what do you say mods?

turn on COPAC and log teh packet when you're getting a socket. then resend the packet and make as many sockets as mets in your inventory 
EDIT: prolly doesn't work tho

I feel the need to use my very first post to put a total misconception to rest. This seems like as good a place as any to do so.
Obtaining a socket during TC upgrade is not reliant on a successful upgrade
You can get a socket even when it fails, I assure you.

What's the average mets to spam for a socket?

I've never made a socket yet, but I want to try. I can get mets - but I want to know about how many I would need to use in TC to get a socket on average.
I searched and some people say 200, some say 500, some say other numbers. I'm just looking for someone that has made many sockets that could give me a good average.
If you must know I want to make a socket attack ring.
