They are currently reworking their SIII engine and making something new for Conquer Online 3.0 (which will supposedly be in 3D unless plans change again). They announced that Conquer 2.0 will not merge into Conquer 3.0, so it might be that they're planning a Conquer 2D and Conquer 3D pair. They are also supposedly working with EA on the engine, so we'll see what happens.

That's too bad, haha I dislike them types of games, I guess that's why I could play LoL for about a year aswell it's viewed from above just like CO is and that's the type of game I like.

No. They (TQ) have stated several times that they will be transitioning the current Conquer Online 2.0 into 3.0. I don't know where all these dumbass rumors about 3.0 being in 3D and whatnot started, maybe it's from all the 3D fan art that has been created, but there has been sure as hell no official statements that even hinted at that.

And the tools I've released have references to Conquer 3.0 as a 3D game, and the videos we watched were all Conquer 3.0 models and buildings (all 3D). I mean, we would be wrong, but I see no harm in guesswork. Nobody knows for sure besides the developers.
