Best build vs taos?

Hey

I'm finding that there's a crapton of taoists going around storm and I was wondering what the best build would be to counter it. Is there a counter to it? It seems ridiculous that with full STGs and -7% blessings on items, and of course p6 perms, it's impossible to kill one with my pirate.

So what to do? Any suggestions? Is pure warrior with 2h spear for shield to mitigate damage and 2h for highest possible attack, and try to auto attack (speedgun) and hope it's enough for a 1 shot? Or is the only option to go tao myself and make sure I have better items than the enemy tao lol?

Edit: Also thought I'd mention that I play in 100- division, in case that makes a difference. No one is full +12 nor king down there.

u can kill taos or anyone with stgs if u know how to bomb+triple

Feels like a very low hit rate, and if I need to put a lot of points into agility then I lose a lot of hp and get 1 hit by e.g. monks..

Whats your name on storm server? just wondering...

And usually when i fight with my pirate against tao i can out dmg them with gun skill, if they aint monk-war-fire, you can also go ninja and use fog + poisen star then just 1 hit and they are death..

I'm the only pirate in 100- on the server, let's leave it at that. You on Storm yourself?

It seems that with the extra defense from perm p6 armors and the STGs, the damage from my pistol skill gets mitigated quite heavily. In addition:

vs Water Tao (e.g. Lyc in 100-) the azure shield absorbs a lot of damage (which isn't counted toward points), making it that much harder to win on points

vs "Warrior Tao" (e.g. assassins creed in 119-) equip shield and backsword, so even more defense against pistol damage.

Meanwhile, tao is dishing out 3k+ damage on me per fire with no concerns to anything... It might actually not be a fair comparison though, since my rapier and pistol aren't p4 or p6 (not many of them around either).
