CO2 USERS! SOMETHING MUST BE DONE ABOUT MODERATORS!

To everyone in the Conquer section,


If you are yet unaware, we currently only have one fully active mod: John Dread. What most of you likely don't know is that John is here as a TEMPORARY mod because we have no fully active moderators without him.
I've been a part of this forum for quite a long time, and I have seen it when it was much smaller than it is now. But, I have seen it when it was much more controlled than it is now. Over just the past few months, the overall quality of these forums has degraded with constant flame wars, countless spam, and continual overall disregard to the elitepvper's terms of service, just to start.

The point is, we need some serious moderators, moderators that don't plan on going anywhere, plan on leaving, and plan to be dedicated to the forum, not to mention ones that have the patience and time to clean up HUNDREDS of pages of utterly useless posting / spam / flaming.

Korvacs and I have BOTH applied to do this, using the OFFICIAL elitepvper's application process. What you likely don't know about this process is that it is highly more likely if we have people from our subsection supporting us in that thread. I am not asking you for your support if you do not wish to give it, but if you want to see some serious moderation being done in these subforums, Korvacs and I have talked about it and see eye to eye, and both have the time and patience of deal with all of this. For that reason, I feel that Korvacs and I would both make fabulous mods for these subforums. Of course, if you think I'm wrong, you can make your OWN application too!

So please, everyone! Fellow hackers, users, teachers, learners, and everyone else....Let US do something about these forums, so that it can be the civilized SOURCE OF INFORMATION it once was, instead of the uncivilized mess it is now.

I will second both of you.

I have spent a great deal of time working with Korvacs and he has helped me more than I can ever speak of. He is a great guy and I would love to see him become a mod here. Korvacs has always tried to help people and he would be a perfect candidate for being a mod. I support Korvacs 100% and If he does become a mod I know he will succeed.

As for you Andy, I have spoken to you before and every time I have talked with you you seem to be a very nice person, I would love to also see you become a moderator because you have always put 110% effort into everything you do.

The best way you can support us both is to comment on our applications, the ones I linked to. That's your choice though.

Well, I saw the original thread asking for prospective mods, but was a little too intimidated to post what I thought--it seemed like it was just a conversation between members who have been here for a very long time, and I didn't want to get flamed for being a know nothing noob. I didn't know there was a vote, for instance, until now lol.

I know nothing about you andy, except that apparently you have initiative and want to do something positive for the site and its members. Great!

Korvacs I don't know anything about from this sites pserver section, but I do know "of him" from reading CO forums and playing on the same server as him. Honestly, I think he wants to be seen as a squeaky clean, white knight completely anti-botter and all that good stuff on the one hand--yet he has applied to be a mod here. Makes me think I wouldn't really trust him as a mod.

Didn't Kinshi88 put in an application? I don't know him from anywhere but EPvPers and he seems nice, respectful, and helpful--and I think he really WANTS the job.

Noob question, can we vote for only one, or since there are a couple spots available can we vote for two?

Right now the first question I have is who actually owns and operates this site? Second question, can anyone answer the first question?

Andy first thing I read was that you are sixteen--so you're automatically disqualified. Anyone with any sense, in my opinion, would not put a minor in charge--or at least someone who couldn't be fully held responsible for their actions as an adult.

As for Korvacs after the second reading...for some reason you make my skin crawl. I hope all your Love2Hate allies from Fire Server are reading all this--in fact, I will make **** sure they do.

I'm glad to see you support at least one of the choices available. It's rather disrespectful for you to say you'd "never come here again" if Korvacs or I were selected. An AGE is a number, just as a post count is a number. You know nothing of me and until you read that I was 16, you probably imagined me to be a bit older, but oh well, you'd never admit that. In the end, age holds no meaning to anyone with sense - a person can be 12 and yet be more mature and respecting than someone that is 28, you should know that, especially if you are an adult as you imply to be.

As to your question - Lowfyr AND Saloman both operate the site, though I believe Lowfyr is the original and first admin.

Why disrespectful? Because you disagree with my opinion or are offended that someone doesn't give you full rights as an adult? No matter how mature you sound, you're a juvenile to every adult on this site and in the eyes of the law. Make your arguments until you're blue in the face because they sure as hell make no difference to me--a fact is a fact.

What you perceive as disrespect this grown up calls mature reason. Mature reason based on what? Experience. There is something very wrong with this whole situation and I'll have no part of it. Nope, don't what it is, just a gut feeling and it's my choice whether I access this site or not--I'll vote with my feet.

I dont support botting or aimbotting, that doesnt mean that i cant be a moderator for the section does it?

Meh. I sent SALOMON a PM regarding this a few weeks ago, along with my reccomendation regarding the mod (If my opinion means nothing, what's the point in asking?). Anyway, I didn't even get as much as an acknowledgement he had read it. It's an all too familiar situation for anyone who has been around here as long as I have. You might've noticed a long absence on my part where I got fed up of sieving through hoards of ****.

Well, similar situation, similar outcome. I can't be arsed looking for worthwhile threads anymore. Why not just use 'that place' rather than here? Andy, Korv etc. Invitite people you think are worth inviting and you won't need to worry about all the **** here.
