Umm you don't send the effect, you send the magic attack packet targeting the player you want it to be cast on with the skill id/level. It handles all of that for you.


Check out coemu for some examples on how to code skills.

Basically you want to switch based on the incoming magic attack spell id. Then based on that invoke some attack type functions. Instead of coding each effect, do attack types and then run your skillls based on those.


Eg: write an area skill function, an arc skill function, etc. Then just apply that to the skill being used. Saves a ton of coding.

Srry i was refering to you for the send effect. Yes you could send a spell effect to the target loc but it would be a silly thing to do when the attack packet is what should be used.

I get an error when I debug my server... in PacketHandler.cs: (error marked in red)

Code:
[COLOR="Red"]NpcDialogs[/COLOR].Dialogs.GetDialog(req, client);
it says "the name 'NpcDialogs' does not exist in the current context".

any help ?

Re add the npc dialogue dll and project. Then if needed add/re add the using npcdialogue; statement at the top of the problem cs file.

Combination of those should fix it no problems

can someone tell me how i can access the .dll file with all of the npc's? i tried to open up the .pdb file but it didn't tell me anything. I really don't want to recode all of the npc's i did my own LadyLuck, MarkController, and DBExchanger because it wasn't in before i noticed what you said about the dll file. Please someone tell me how i can get the dialogues.

In this project there are 2 separate projects. The main game project and the NPCDialogues. You should just need to open the NPCDialogues project and add the NPCs in there. I am not sure as I have not looked at this source in too much detail. Someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
