i heard LOTF can't even hold over 40 players online without being stable, is this true?

i had 60 XD
If you get dedicated it can.
Self host 60-70 with good lag

@The upload is taking 6hours wtf, my net sucks today.

Not this release, the original lotf wasnt much better even on a dedi, but this is going back abit.

I never touched the thing, ive seen some code from it and its awful, the lotf source uses pointers, but the guy who wrote it made mistakes because he didnt know what he was doing, so you would get things dumped into invalid memory and stuff like that, so i can only assume it lags itself into oblivion and then crashes due to memory errors.

heh. when i was using LOTF as a reference for some packets, i saw that he was storing Items as a string itemuid-itemid-plus-bless etc, i thought that's how the conquer client accepted items or something. later down the track i saw thats just how he was structuring it and thought wow thats bad, splitting it up everywhere too.

However i won't hate on him since i used a big amount of his packets, they were most likely just taken from the pb wiki though right?

No, he took them from other released sources.
