[Guide] How To Make Your Server Perfect

Hello This Guide contains some advices to help private server editors to make a server Liked by people

PS: It's not my own Point Of View i asked many Private servers players


1-Easy Leveling: the most thing that players hate is hard leveling, because they joined private servers to make a quick character and start playing so make leveling very easy (15min to get lvl 130/140)

2-Medium Cps Dropping: Don't put 99999cps drop because they will make +12 in 5min and after 2h they will quit, make them arrive to +12 with some work i suggest 10cps/monster with a little bit more monsters spawns

3-Far Limits For The Server: make something special , strong and expensive , for example Dragon soul items, make them Very Expensive ( ex: 500kcps) so players will keep dropping and working to get stronger

4- Make Bosses With Good Drops : make some bosses to drop things better than cps drop in normal monsters so they will think(hmm i prefer killing that boss with my trojan , it's better than keeping on BI killing sputid birdmen and it's funny too) and then they will whisper you (Mr.GM your server is awsome i'll invite my friends)


5- Fix Your Bugswho cares if you can't code, pay for a coder, you shouldn't have any bug in your souce, because if a player discover a bug he will immediatly QUITE the server

6- No More GMs: don't put any GM in the server because they will invite their friends yeah it's a good thing but here's the worst part, they will give them cps to make the strongest stuff and it's a very bad thing

Last point is the best. Even they say they will leave, they will either come back or don't leave. Whatever they get GM or not, because they don't expect it in the first place.

I disagree with #1, #2, and #3. I don't spend months working on a server just to have people get maxed out characters in a week or so, get bored, and quit.

They wont quit immediatly if theres minimal bugs.

I disagree unless you are making a pvp server.

1- (easy leveling)

Because you want your clients to work for their levels make it take time to level but make it fun to level as well add content such as quest and events that are fun to do for all levels not just the top levels. Make guilds have a point with guild events and such. Quest that are fun to do for all levels. Make it fair and make players work for the levels and their money.

2- (Medium Cps Dropping)

< No, Why? Make players get there cps from quest and events so players interact with each other others then pvp make them need to sell items to get cps bring a point back to gold that is a type of money as well not just cps gold should be used far more then cps should be.

3- (Fair Limits For The Server)

< well that’s a yes in a way, the server does need fair limits but I rely do not see the need in having any more than +7 even if TQ has it why do they have it? To make money and over power the ones that gives them the money. Should you add more items well only if you add more levels to need that new items and balance them out don’t over power any one items and remember there are not just clubs and swords there are 18 deferent weapons give them a point make people want to try new weapon types and combos.

4- (Make Bosses With Good Drops)

<Well bosses should have good drops for their level and there should be bosses of all levels and types but you must make the boss harder to kill maybe like a level or two above the monsters around them put a few magic mobs around as well for the wizards.

5- (Fix Your Bugs)

<well yes there would be no or limited bugs don’t have any damage bug or teleporting to random place bug or anything that will interfere with the players playing experience.

6- (No More GMs)

<No, Why? GMs are for players to report problems to and to develop new game content based on what the players will enjoy how will you no what they enjoy if you have no GMs to talk to the players. But they would not have Commands or anything and only people you trust should be a gm remember bad GMs means bad servers.

Make the leveling too easy and the player will get to 137 / max level get full gears and then quit.

OR you could have a random chance CPBag drop like 1 for every 100 mobs killed

3-Far Limits For The Server: make something special , strong and expensive , for example Dragon soul items, make them Very Expensive ( ex: 500kcps) so players will keep dropping and working to get stronger

Make them too expensive and the players wont work for them they will quit... Just make sure the CP/Silver drop rate is good and you wont have a problem

In my experience if you reward players with lets say a 500cp reward for a bug then people will actively search for bugs and keep playing at the same time... It keeps them entertained whilst helping you out and ALSO making a better server for the players

GM's are very handy in a server to help out players etc etc if you are worried about them inviting friends and handing over CPs then put a check into the source so that if a GM tries to trade CPs then it will say "NO!"

About the GM part. Just only give them power to ban etc. but not gear.

I once joined a server with low cps drop and they had donations of 9m cps :S
