Guide/Release: Conquer Server (CoFuture) Using MySql!

Ok nevermind. It started.

But how do I log in ? I changed QO's server.dat IP to connect to my server, but I can't log in. It says that my server is under maintenance or something.. I am sure I created account right.
But not about the step "3. Setting up server in database". What port do I type in? 9958?
Sry for asking you that much, thanks in advice.

Make sure :-

1) Your server and MySQL is successfully started.
2) Your server doesnt has any errors while its launching and hosted.
3) Your Server.DAT's ip and server's (Cofuture) ip is same.
4) Connected to port 9958
5) Server database, yes port 9958
6) Server database, server ip must be same as Server.DAT's ip and server's (Cofuture) ip.

Ensure the server name you entered in the database and the server name in the server.dat match otherwise you will be unable to connect

everyone having a similar problem should also check their server names match

Alright, I'll then I can, now I'm redownloading & reinstalling everything. And I'll remake everything by reading the guide step by step. Thanks for reply.

First you need to turn on apache and MySQL, and only then go to :

server -> bin -> x86 -> debug -> COServer.exe

The problem might be fixed.

No:S its says that it couldnt connect to database with that username/password

And now i was try to use visual c++ 2005.. but i cant press on the build solution button :S it is grey and i cant click on it.. whats the problem???

You need Microsoft C# 2005 express edition. Heres the link :

Install it, open the project & database.cs and Build solution. I hope you will be luckier than me, because I can't even log in to server.

Niex: Ok lots of things wrong with what youve done,

Firstly you cannot have "localhost" as an ip address, the server wont be able to parse that, you need to replace that with either 127.0.0.1 or better yet your network ip.

Secondly, Your account is not setup correctly you do NOT enter a password.

Thirdly, Conquer will not accept "localhost" as an ip address you will have to use your WAN ip address to connect to the server. not only that the port you have entered in your server.dat points the client directly to the game server you need to enter the auth server port in the server.dat

If after all of this you refuse to listen then im not going to answer any more of your questions, its obvious to me that you didnt bother to read the guide properlly, since the only thing done correctly according to the guide is the database setup.

Well everything seems to be OK now. I fixed server.dat and IP database, created a new account and I didn't enter a password, but the guide says nothing about logging in. It says wrong password if I try to log in.

I know it's funny to you that I ask such a questions. But you were a noob at this too, we all want to learn, but we need some help. You guys should add a part how to log in in your guide.

Don't accuse Myself or Korvacs of being noobs when your the one here having trouble setting up the server, now Conquer client won't let you press enter if theres no password entered, so as allot of servers the password you log in with sets itself!
