I'm just saying that there's been an influx of "classic-style" server releases since L2H was released. I've been monitoring this section for those types of servers for about a year and a half, ever since I decided to convert Project Manifesto (or whatever it is, that source... I think I used an earlier version when I started.) to a 4267-capable source, so I know that there are more being released since L2H. Facts.

Might of been "one" of them. But I think the idea has always been around, and has been there ever since TQ was classic. So there really is no "first" classic server. I know ive had the idea of keeping it that way ever since TQ came out with 2nd rebirth. And it may be true that after L2H was released, there were more classic servers coming out. But I took it as you meant L2H started the trend, which I would strongly disagree with.

...Technically, the first has more time to work on it, which makes his/her server have a better chance to be the best... Just saying.
But you're right.

well that would depend on how you define "the best". personally i dont see having the most players as being better. i see having a the best working and closest classic server experience as being the best- which at the moment is l2h (in the classic genre).. prove me wrong?

Advertising on our thread, Nice!
Now, why don't we take all of this spam, and move it elsewhere, so we can get back on topic. Thanks!

at the moment maybe, but only due to the fact their using binaries lol. Could setup a binary server thats a exact mirror of theirs in less then a day. Not hard.
When their custom source comes out and its stable and that bugless, then i might give them some more credit; but as for now, they are no better then any other binary server.

Regardless of what it is, even compared to other bin servers it is the "closest" to a classic server there is which is my point.. And I doubt it could be replicated that easilly.
And if you believe they are no better I doubt you have played many others.
Anyway it's there to be "beaten" so prove me wrong.

LOL? That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.
Anyways, please stop talking about L2H in their advertising thread. They're completely different servers run by completely different people- both with their ups and downs I'm sure.
Leave it at that, and good luck with your server. Perhaps request this thread to be cleaned up.

You people have no idea how much work is needed to properly setup a binary server. If you want to just set it up and run like every other kid out here, yes it's very easy, and it's the same as the C# sources, add your IP, name server and done. For the both type of servers hard work is needed to acomplish something good.

Sad if you actually think setting up a binary server is hard. I started to work on a source using binaries actions. Therefore I have documentation on all of them, know what ID is for what, what param's it takes, even documentation on the cq_statistics and how their used.
I have a translated database for it, thats the only time consuming part. Website stuff is easy, including the automatic donation rewards. Simple paypal IPN php script. Your using a website template, so there goes that work. A light and free forum, so its quick and easy to get dont even need to download a nulled vers. And the rest is the only semi time consuming part, which is "SIMPLE" SQL statements through the database. Which is easy and can be finished within the rest of the day. If you think anything about your server right now is hard to setup, your completely wrong. Im sure your custom source will be once its released, but as far as a binary server, please dont make me laugh.

Clearly you have no clue what you're talking about. If you're really such a hot shot feel free to put your money where your mouth is. I for one know how much work and effort went into this server, from removing bugs and client side ****, to translating and graphical changes. The bugs alone would take days to iron out from what we started with.
You're more than entitled to your opinion, but please.. Don't sit there and belittle all the hard work I've put in to my server like it's nothing. I've worked **** hard to get l2h to where it is now. If you genuinely think that you could make an exact replica in under a day then my opinion is that you are a moron.

The time it takes to properly and efficiently setup (and run) the binaries? I thought that was obvious.

Shut up everyone.
Neither is better, neither is worse.
Quit complaining about each others servers and stop comparing them.
A classic server for one, might not be classic for another.
Neither will everyone find the other one better or worse. We all got different opinions.
The 2 servers are not the same and probably got 2 different goals as well.
Focus on your own servers, instead focusing on others. If you have to compare yourself with others, then your own server will never be unique.
This is not aimed directly for this server, but for every other server existing.
