[Question] Packet structs Chinese Vs. English
Has anyone ever logged packets in the Chinese client?
I wonder if the packet types are the same.
Can anyone confirm or elaborate on this? I never tried the Chinese client.
I have some ideas with this.

English, french, spanish, japanese clients use the same protocol (except for the difference of version). EO uses mostly the exact same protocol than CO2. Although the chinese version is slightly modified, it probably uses the same protocol/packets than other clients.

I can confirm what CptSky said. The Chinese client uses the same packets, with the exception of some features that are not included in the other client translations. (Not sure if there are any differences at all in the newer clients, though.)

Thanks, so you're not 100% sure about the Chinese? If the packet types are the same there's possibly some major exploiting to do in the English client.

Hmm.. exploiting? I don't remember any exploits in the Conquer client since we found the Nobility hack years ago, but I quit around that time.

There have been plenty over the years, it just depends on your definition of exploit I guess.
And yes I see potential in this but of course I can't be sure till I get my Chinese client downloaded, which is taking forever.
I don't want to give too much away yet but I have a few things to look into.
What I will give away though is that there are a lot of things in the client that are not in use yet, and I just assume it is the same server sided.

Like the craft system and the other dialogs? Back in the 4XXX era, you could use a proxy to send your client a forged packet, opening dialogs that were not normally accessible, but were coded on the server side.
As for any other exploits, you can PM me and maybe I can confirm your ideas. I would advise that you don't post them to the community atm.

I guess something similar indeed, but there's only 1 way to find that out really and that's by trial and error. So that's why I want to look at things like the family system in the Chinese CO. Which is just 1 of the countless things I found that do exist client sided, now if I had the packet types that correspond for example with those family functions and IF those packets are the same as in the Chinese and IF they actually have written code for it server sided, there could be some fun stuff in it. That's just an example I got a few other things I want to tinker with.
They had permanently banned my main for botting and said that account explicitly was caught botting, the funny thing is I had never botted or used any edits with that account. So right now I'm just bored and looking into things just for the hell of it.

Ah, I'm all too aware of that tendency. I've been banned for leveling too fast on a trojan, even though I level by hand. I don't believe in using bots for things like that.
Oh well, hopefully you find something amusing.

I'm the same way, I don't believe in bots for that either. Heck I've been playing since 2005 and my main was only 126 second reborn, says enough if you ask me haha.
I was leveling a fire by hand which was going to be my next main, I had leveled from 108 to 115 in 1 day with the 3x exp event. and 2 million gold on mana pots.
Killed my freaking fingers and 2 hours later I am banned on that account and on my main who was also logged in while sitting in TwinCity with both accounts.. Now if I had botted I would admit it, heck I even admitted to them I like ******** around with their game, but they don't admit their own incompetence haha. Anyway I'm not even bothered by it anymore, screw them now I'm really gonna bot the **** out of their game ^^
What's even funnier is I actually botted 3 accounts above 110 just today, and they have obvious bot names too, shows how well they ban the real bots

They have always been notoriously stupid in regards to their "choosing" of what's real and what's a bot.. I know people whose bot accounts (Mind you, names like h78D9ijD) have been running for months and not a single ban.
