i have always wondered, how do people patch executables?
I thought it would be possible if they can obtain the asm codes of the patching target and find the codes to alter, finally save the changes. Can anyone teach me how is this done? I apologize if i sound too demanding, can you not just give me a run through of the things i need, but throw in a bit of details so that I will have a better idea of what i will be doing.
I am thinking writing a simple Conquer.exe patcher that does only the 100032 removal for now.
