itemtype editting.. i want to learn

can anyone please PM a guide or something that can teach me the basics on itemtype.dat editting? please.. i really want to learn.. i am a noob programmer.. sorry for posting here.. if i wasn't supposed too i apologize..

I think that somewhere ont his forum there is an Itemtype en/decrypter... all you do is decrypt it, make the changes (add [E] for elite etc) and then you re-encrypt it and you're done I think.

Really? I'll try that now, never had to use it before cause my posts are generally very good
