OK, so first off, to add and remove NPCs, you should talk to them in the server. If they talk, search the source for what they're saying. Don't forget to search the "entire solution". By doing that, you'll find the file that keeps the NPC Dialogs! Then you can search for the rest of the NPCs using "Current Document". If it talks and you find it in the source, look at the case number that it's using. That case number is very important! It's the ID of the NPC. If it doesn't talk, it will give you it's Npc ID. Now go into OldCODB (whatever it's called) and look for a text file called NPCs. Search for that NPCs's ID. The ID is the first column. When you find the ID, delete that row and then delete that case from the source! Your changes won't show up until you restart the server.
The same goes for Guards. They're located in the "mobspawn.txt" file (if I remember correctly!). The ID is usually 97. The best way to find a guard in mobspawn.txt is to stand next to the guard in the x direction, and then in the y direction. That way, you get it's coords. Say "/map" to figure out what map you're on.. then search using all three bits of info like this: "map x y".
To edit the welcome message when you log into the client, search for what it's saying. I think it's in World.cs but I honestly can't remember at all.
Automatic CPs has to be deleted too... it's really annoying (in my opinion- but if you like it, just keep it). To delete it, search for "cps +=". You'll probably find it in Mob.cs or Attack.cs. I can't remember... lol
Any other questions, just post it here! lol
And don't forget to thank people that help you, they don't have to spend their time away from coding their server to help you =P
Good luck!
Sincerely,
Fang
