Short answer: yes
Long answer: i'm a **** busy guy lol. I was looking at simply upgrading hybrid's source and did a bit of work there for some reason it didn't work out well as the client seems to be refusing to send the clientkey but that's a problem that i haven't had a chance to look at.
Custom source i did a bit on but nothing noteworthy. Mostly just messed around looking at sequence and ways of doing diff things. Doubtful there will be anything meaningfull done on custom source soon but i have taken a few looks at it (guhhh so busy)
No work or bf today so hopefully i'll get some done

Login is no issue. Seed and auth response work perfectly and it jumps to game server. I then send serverkey and it just sits there w/ no response. To be fair i never reallly gave it much of a try past that.
Also i noticed i'm getting a 80 byte ppacket on login server AFTER auth response which is... strange. The client dhkey is sent to game server isn't it? Doesn't make much sense to be doing it via login svr.

The client has always responded to the auth response packet, it's just that nobody ever uses that packet for anything, because honestly, it's not very useful.
Keep in mind it's possible that the client's base DH key has changed, check that and make sure that's not the issue. I had the same issue at one point, and I realized that I was sending one extra byte somewhere, or something like that. Double-check your serverkey-packet generation.

if you'll release the base, it'll either die immediately or be edited then released in a "ready-to-run" form which will provoke another generations of mindless p servers "developers".
And as for the people WORTH workin on it... gettin to your source's point by themselves will deff help em more. If you want to truly help the people that deserves it, perhaps consider updating korvacs' wiki with latest packets (or however does this **** work; ive no idea about servers technical structure), and if somebody is really dedicated, he'll find it way more useful.
Somebody had "Give noob a source and he'll leech for a day, teach him to how to code and the noob is gone." (or sth among these lines lol) in the epvpers siggy, well.. clean truth.

That's an interesting quote coming from you.
I'd say keep it private. Ofc some folks will get pissy and bent out of shape over it. oh well.

Honestly releasing source code that is up-to-date very openly doesn't necessarily improve development. In fact, I think it is quite the opposite.

Well some people are here to leech (not the proper word but its an example) not to learn C# if we did then we would go to the Conquer programming section.

To answer the question. No: not planning on releasing this if it gets done.
Did a tad of work on my custom yesterday such as character database and dhkey exchange.
What al needs to be sent for login? The answer_ok string and then just the char info packet? Or more... cause seems to me needs more just even for map/x/y to display the map lol
Not done much yet. Just happy to finally understand dhey exchange a bit better. It'll redo the source to be sexy and use async once i get some more understanding.
Srsly had NO time though. Stayed up a few hrs lastnight looking at stuff and that's it.

Yes... because it's the first server conquer automatically selects when you open it. I'm using the loader versus mucking around with making a cracked server.dat/conquer.exe for 5290+ (which would be pointless)

I always use sql for char info. Flatfile = </3.
And yes, custom source is coming along nicely but it's midterm season so not much will be done next few weeks

Thanks for your reply dude.
I voted and replied without read all posts.
Im so sorry for that.
I agree with ppl who say that lot off ppl are just leechers and I agree with who say to you dont release your own work.
I learned something with pringle at other forum and I saw how ppl just want to get your knowledge to fell proud for their server without work.
Im 30 years network windows and linux administrator and I really would like to LEARN how to code a server.
Since sniffering the packets till get it full working.
I want to do more then puttin some basic C# lines (switch, if, else etc) to make the NPCs or to make an autoinvetory cps.
I learned a bit of ASSEMBLY windows/linux (X86), something at C and C++ windows/linux using flatfile without crypt at University. I have good knowledge at VB and Delphi using Firebird/Postgresql/Mysql/Oracle and Clipper+DBF (DOS) by leaning by my own.
If someone have a team/project that I can be a member I would be really glad to learn with you.
If anyone could teache me, for sure.

[Release] 5290+ Source (Immune's)
03/05/2011 - CO2 PServer Guides & Releases - 119 Replies
ok so there has been so many people who have already made their own sources for new patches or upgraded existing ones and me and others have released some info on how to go about it...
This has caused a bunch of 'nubs' (there are exceptions, talking in general here) to start begging for a working 5290 base to experiment with. While I agree with the argument that it's super easy to upgrade with the information already provided, I do understand that not everyone has access to a proxy to log...
