Few lines about me: I started to play co in 2003 on official, i had all classes at maximum, from around 2007 i hang around private servers.
Here is what i noticed:
1- Classic with stg, blessed items, online points, vote points, vps +1,2,3,4,5,6 items as reward, exp mob, tearato dragon and all kind of lotery is not classic anymore (All this give the player to much and this destry the game, explication will come at the end of the artile)
2- The dmg, def and hp are wrong calculate for what a player can obtain in very short period of time (You will understand why reading the explication in the end of the article)
3- The high rate of socks, dbs and +1 items are wrong (The explication of this will come in at the end of the article)
4- The events and gw prize is way to big
Here i will explain how those 4 points ruin the servers:
At the time when the game was classic, on a server with 3.000 players were around 5 items 2s and like 50 items 1s while the maximum + on items was +5 and only few ppl had items with such a high +. At that time we were going and fighting at gw with full super +3,+4 and sock only in armor. So the dmg, def and hp was good for those items.
Now when everyone get the advantages of the 4 points i mentioned, in around 1 month is full 2s +6 and this is to much for the old dmg, def, hp calculations. Basicaly at the moment at full 2s +6 a trojan do 1 hit on everyone, even on another trojan full +9 (this make the game to stop at full +6, nobody have any reason to make more then +6 because everyone will still get 1 hit and all tros will do 1 hit anyway)
Once a player got to full 2s +6 the game is over for him so he have no reason to hunt or to do something else în game, most of the ppl just log in for last 1 hour of gw and easy easy will not come online at all going to test other server so like this the server die.
What is the solution to solve this problem and a server to survive many years: (one of the next 4 points or even mixed)
1- Add second reborn for the addition of more hp
2- Add a npc that sell stat points for a huge amount of money to be hard to achive
3- Add potency and modify the potency (on official it did a very big difference but if is recalculated and made it to do just a decent difference will make everyone to work harder to get better)
Example for point 3: If im full 2s +6 and i do 1 hit on my enemy which is full 2s +6, if my enemy will have +6 and 2 items +7 i wont be able to 1 hit him anymore, so on...) [and make the items at maximum +12 not +9].
4- Lower the drop and exp rate, exactly as it was on official and the rewards from events to be 1-2 dbs maximum.
Personal thoughts:
Second reborn and potency/battele power were a good adition but wrong calculated makeing a to big difference, those 2 things if are well reworked can keep a server alive for many years because ppl will have what to anymore and the gw will be hard and nice (what it is now it can be called trojan&fb/ss online not conquer online)
Those it will give the players a reason to go for +12, it will keep the players busy to hunt, it will keep the players busy to do second reborn quest which it take some time to be done. It will force ppl to hunt on spot and fight for spots, it will make ppl to fight each other for bosses on second rb quest and this will make enemyes allies kos etc. it will keep the server active.
I would like to see arena removed for ppl to play in jail as it used to be
At the moment, i go on a classic, i spend 10 usd on vip, i hunt and spamm mets and dbs, i get full 2s, i make a tro, i hunt a bit more and plvl i get full 2s +6, i sit in tc, i play a bit of arena, i go at gw, i get borred of the same thing over and over again and i quit. (It take me maximum 2 months playing 2-3 hours per day) Most of the ppl do the same because in the end the gw winer is the internet and the location of the server, those who play with high ping will suck no matter what items they have while those who have low ping are allways wining because of 1 hit on everyone.
As it is now Fire is useless even at full +9 is one hit, a bs Water with spg is again useless is one hit even at full +9 from a full +6 tro, war-war who used to be a real tank is again useless because is one hit, archers no comment, so the whole game become trojan game. Even on pve the water become useless now with those stigma bows they are not used not even for stig anymore.
We quit tq and we wanted classic for a balanced game and we got it more unbalanced then tq made it (the single difference is because you had to spend 5.000 usd to go pro in here u need only 10 usd).
A long life server must be a mix of classic with co2 elements or an original classic without any adition and without drop and exp rate increased.
