You need port 80 which is HTTP, not Conquer Online

Most computers behind a modem/router are assigned a static router IP address.
To find out what you're assigned.

Open up your command prompt, by going to Start, and typing "cmd" into either Search or Run...
Then in the command prompt type "ipconfig".

You should see something like this:

The address inside the yellow box is the one you want.

But port 80 is a general windows port, it's always open.

Most routers default to DHCP for assigning LAN IPs. For true static IPs, you'd need to set the IP in each TCP/IP device manually (which is too complicated for the average joe buying the router) or use "DHCP Reservation" (which is still DHCP, but router always gives a specified IP Address to a specific computer based on MAC Address).

General Windows Port? It's the default HTTP/web server port, has nothing to do with Windows. D:

More or less what I'm trying to say just in a irregular way.

That's not true, a lot of modems doesn't open port 80 by default. Like my modem, if I don't port forward it, it's close.

If anyone wants to check if a port is open, go .

well , there is a easy solution for this to solve

first of all , your modem have a firewall (els you are not on a lan ip)

Disable the firewall for 100%

if you are using the 5165 version then you have the webserv.exe

webserv.exe works on port 8080 and not on port 80 , so if you open 80 or not is still the same

then lets explain what you need to do to open your ports , its kinda easy

first find your ip ( is good to find it ^^ )

then go to your local ip (192.168.1.1 mostly) and enter the router page

then check by security and click that button that says firewall
put it off until you can figure out how to portforwarding , but in this case
put it off ...

then you need to search to something called DMZ
note: not all routers have it

DMZ is to open every single port to your ip
so 192.168.1.X will become your extern ip (the ip you saw on the link i gave you)

if you found those 2 things , then it is time to test it if it works

put wamp on it or Xerver or whatever you like to use that use port 80

wamp is the easy'st way to test
then go directly to your extern ip ( not the 192.... ) and then if it shows then it works , congrats your ports are open

does it not shows up ?? then it can be only a build in firewewall or your windows firewall

so lets check windows firewall , press that big disable button and it should be fine

now try again , still same problem ?? still not a website that displays then we got a bigger problem

sorry to go back , but i forgot to say , this apply's if you cant find a button to disable (minimum is NOT disabled)

in case you cant disable the firewall (like some routers have , but mostly they got the DMZ button then )
then you need to manual port forward

lets explain how to do it , its kinda easy

go to your firewall tab
and you see firewall rules

click on it , and you see someting pre configured to add , in this case it shal be a few games

ignore those game names because they dont aplly here
just click add
now you see that there are a few rules added for your intern ip

lets fix it up , you see probaly something like 80 ~ 80 TCP and 80 ~80 UDP
well, fix it by changin to .. 1 ~ 65535 BOTH (or TCP and UDP if both does not exist)

be sure that the 192.168.1.X fits your comp ip (inten ip)

press safe , restart your router
and all ports are open , congrats you just putted a firewall rule in it to open every single port to your ip

now try wamp again , it need to work now (is not posseble if it doesnt works)
if it still doesnt works

then you probaly dit something wrong ??
the router doesnt support outgoing conections ?? (realy bad model)
you just dint found the settings ??

thats all i can help with
Good luck with it

and as final solution if it still not works , you can maybe try to get a vps server (check siggy :P)
