5165 Garments - Male/female

Hello,

I recently added new garments coming from this thread on elitepvpers:


I completed adding them and they fully work.
I noticed a small problem that I can wear the female garments on male accounts, which makes the character invisible.

Does anyone have a way to fix this?

Set up theitemtype properly. One of the fields in the itemtype is responsible for determining what genders are allowed to wear it (all, male, female).

Same restrictions need to be done server side to avoid edited itemtypes making people able to wear them (NEVER TRUST THE CLIENT)

I figured that I had to do a edit in the itemtype, the thing is I don't know which number it is and what it needs to be changed in. Here's a line for GladiatorSuit which i'm using.

It's not really rocket science to figure out though...

Step one: find items that already exist that fit your criteria and compare to yours to find differences.
Step two: look at sources to see how they handle it. Use that to figure out the client side equivalent if still needed.

I'm pretty sure it's not rocket science for you. If it was that easy as you say, I wouldn't ask it on elitepvpers.

I been trying for hours but I can't find the solution.

You need to encrypt and decrypt the .dbc file (for adding the garment/items)

"2.the garments are not edits they have dbc files too!"
Includes dbc files in the guide and attachments.......

You must check the handler for that value when you're equiping the garment in your source.
