PvP would be possible, however the damage calculation would have to be handled by the interserver as it could not be guaranteed all servers involved in the combat would agreee upon damage. Also the possibility of less honourable server admins "pimping" up characters would make things tough to control. Also, a free4all server for instance pvping with players from a leveling server would be vastly unfair. For those reasons I think interserver PvP would have to be non-serious, i don't think tournaments would be acceptably fair.

**** had to download Qonquer and AcidCO want to check this out when you guys get it up. I would love to join my server in on the fun , but i just started re-writing it(**** timing) Well Ulti and Qonquer i wish you guys the best of luck and can not wait for the chance to test out.

I'm up for this, about to start work on Jonquer again and this seems like an interesting idea.
Few concerns: what if someones using 5017 and someones using something later, that has fans etc, this would break PvP simply because later clients can support more damage due to extra equipment. I like the pure chat idea, possibly equipment showing but anything further theres no need.

yeah even with equipment showing you could get some errors, as you stated before -- if someones using a 5017 client / and another is using a 5201 client, features are much different between the clients, and therefore, I don't imagine would work well together. so, even though my word doesn't make a difference, if i were those guys, i would have the other servers base their patches close to mine, so that you aren't missing anything client-side.

to make tournaments fair on the interserver i would recommened a base attack for everyone wich doesnt take into account gears, so everyones attack would be a standard damage, that is probably the fairest way to do it, and yea the interserver would have to handle all of it, possibly just notifing the servers when a player takes a hit etc.

Thats is what i was thinking just a base min and max attack, but i was also thinking inter servers should be limited to fb/ss only . I also thought about Ching's post what about the new jumps and stuff would that not effect the jumping?

no, on older clients it would just look like a normal jump. the server's can handle which data to forward to clients that their server can visually provide, even if the interserver sends a server that only supports 5017 clients, ninja gear etc, it's the servers job to only show what's available and limit anything the client does not have.

i would join too if someone could teach me how to do that all i could host my co 1..0 server my 5017 or my 5173 one.

im sure it's for advanced users that will have to set up there server manually and implement the protocol, rather than a copy&paste/guide/tutorial.

As for tournaments, you could arrange an TDM (TeamDeathMatch(AcidCo tournament)) as soon as you enter the tournament you obtain a skill called NoobAssFb which gets you fixed fb but hits 1 on everyone and since people got 1 HP in TDM it's a win and a tournament. Ofcourse it's much more harder then I just explained, I think.

It could be done on a TQ Binary -- it's just that nobody here has sufficient knowledge of assembly to do such a task (it could be done through reverse engineering and dll-injection); and anyone who does, has left the community; or doesn't care (I mean, why would they?)

Wie schon im Topic kurz und knapp beschrieben benutze ich rAegis von der Seite http://www.rentus.de.vu/ und dessen Guide/FAQ. Leider habe ich aber beim InterServer ein Problem. Undzwar das er mir diese 3 Fehlermeldungen anzeigt. Bin zwar nicht ein Newb in Sachen MySQL Server aber hab dafür leider von meiner Seite keine Lösung des Problems parat.
Fehler 1:
SQL Server existiert nicht oder Zugriff verweigert.
Fehler 2:
DBServer connect error:Script, :DB:Script, UID:script
