[Help?] Working on a 5165...

Well.. im trying hard to make a PServer like most ppl here..

one of topics i read and did all was this:
the server works... i logged in and found some bugs..


so now im thinking bout make a server with 5165 client.. theres my questions:

-there is any topic with it? 5165 source, client, server.dat, conquer,exe....
(cuz i didnt found)
if answer is No just one more question:

-anyone can help a simple man? i just want to learn guys.. ang guess im in right forum.

As far as I know, PowerSource is version 5017. Personally I have tried this source and it is pretty bad. Too many bugs for my taste to even learn from the coding. I would personally start off with a LOFT source code or CoEmu.


If you want them try using the search on the forums and type in something such as there name and source after it. If you have a 64x bit computer, be aware that you will most likely need to use a source for version 5017 and a client 5017 version as of any version higher versions seem to have problems with 64x bit users. You may get lucky thou and find a source code and client that will work for a 64x bit user, I haven't yet thou.

couple other things you will need are:

APPServ to host your files
some sort of #C editor if you would like to edit the source code
and something such as MySql so you can upload the tables in order to create accounts, items, npc's and such and manage them easyer.
