Does any one have a guide on editing an programming my private server version to what i like. upgrade or degrade the version compatibility. any help would be nice thanks. also is there a source client version 5632 available to download.

That's a good start. Knowing programming is, of course, a big help. You won't be able to do it without knowing how to read and write in C#.

I know basics I have done a lot of various programming types in my past ill pick it up easy enough. I just wanted a working server and client to mess around with. To begin with lol

Ops. I got told of. Lol talking about the programming of it in the wrong section. Sorry.

If you can't write in C# then it will be impossible.

First off you need to pick a source in the release section.
Then decide what patch you want to target.

Then research that patch and figure out what crypto etc it is using and the authentication packets.

Then modify the source to use the above to enable characters to login.

Finally, modify every packet structure that has changed, along with any associated code that will be affected by these modifications.

I get that. I have a source and a server the server is fine the source ... Client has a few issues it creates a character etc logs in but errors due to the database it seems not having the full files needed to create the map and character an thanks lots for ur response. I'm sure I'll get this going soon. I have plenty.of time to do so. Just had a pack maker installed won't be working any time soon lol
