Packet 1037

Hi there.
I'm receiving a 1037 packet from the client.
Does someone knows what its used for?
There is no data inside...

It's the contribution packet (for the mentor system). You know how the game updates that little contribution rewards window with new information every once and a while (maybe every 10 minutes or so - I haven't timed it). That's exactly what this is - that packet is requesting reward updates from the server.

If there are no other responses, then I will in a day or so (if that's alright with you). Although I've never implemented it, I'm fairly confident that my analysis of that packet is correct, but I'm sure there are others who might have more information on it. I have some packet logs of responses if you'd like them, but I'm pretty sure they're all dead packets (they contain empty values besides the identity offset).

I sent you a private message, but I found a fraction more of the request system. Unfortunately, I don't have a packet log of the server response to 1037, but I do have part of that system. If I find any additional packet logs (which I don't think I will at this point), I'll post them here. Good luck.

You seem to be confused -- 1037 is nothing more than a ping packet and 1036 does involve the Mentor window but is unrelated to that system.

1036 is for manipulating the 'online experience' and 'battle experience':
Code:
STR_MAX_ONLINE_EXP=You have reached the maximum amount of EXP available from Online Training. Would you like to claim it, now?
STR_MAX_BATTLE_EXP=You have reached the maximum amount of EXP available from bonus hunting. Would you like to claim it, now?

Ah ha. Thanks for that clarification. It's a ping packet, but if that's the case, then it can be used to update those types of systems. So the appropriate response to 1037 would be 1036 or other packets used in maintaining or manipulating the player's online experience. Hopefully I've understood that correctly.

I'm unsure if there is a response to 1037 because the packet contains the IP address of the network adapter and the max ping -- information unrelated to 1036 or the Mentor system..
