I was wondering what the epvp community thought about the balancing of the Warrior class and actually making it useful.
I am planning on, within the coming while opening up a server (Classic CO style) and one of the major things that I am thinking about is adding some more defence to the warrior class.
Warriors in CO are supposed to be the tank. So why not make them a true tanking class? One that has a shitload of defence and does not get one-hit, other-ways what's the point of having a guy with a shield if he gets hit just as hard as other classes and dies just as easily...pre-potency etc...
I realize that there's no balance, that's why one of the major things I am thinking about is just certain small buffs, make classic just a small portion better. On my server archers will have that old feel of OH **** INTENSIFY + rapid fire! remember those days? Also I will be adding a bit more hp/defence to the warrior in order to make it a bit more of a useful class in pvp.
I think those were some of the major complaints in retail.

If I recall correctly you were launching a 5065 server to reboost a classic feeling? You can remove whatever you dislike from the client just so you know.

Yes, I know. But I remember a lot of warriors really struggling with the way the warrior class behaved so I am thinking of changing some minor things that may have an impact on the game.

Back in the days I would choose the warrior class only to level quickly never did it for the "tanking" attributes it should have. You should consider having custom skills that extend the attack range of a warrior.

Because it's really supposed to feel as close to 1.0 as possible, I don't want to add any more skills, though it was something I talked about with the devs.
I just really think that warriors need to be a bit more useful, at least more tanky.
Even originally, the trojan was meant to be a low damage fast attacking class, i guess comparable to a rouge like class in most mmos, instead they are overpowered.
You should add parry and dodge gems to the game. Only useable for Warrior, if he has his whole gear gemmed with dodge/parry gems, then the chances to parry/dodge every hit should be 50%.

I play on a Wizard, searching for the items, but the past few days a new update of Conquer Online intrigued me, which is its new expansion “The Dawn of New War - Class Redefinition”, in which the balance for all the classes is far more better now, particularly the Warriors get its share of power with two new defensive skills, while the Ninjas have three new deadly moves added to its offensive arsenal.
