Cool Server Review: HeroicCo

So, i've been playing for a while now, and i absolutely love it, it's something you have to work at to actually get good gears, you don't get full +12 within an hour of playing, it's a leveling server of course but it's a great one, they are working on adding elite pk, team pk, and all the other events it's like normal conquer only 300x Better and of course without the bots. The drop rate varies by monster you are fighting, i'm not affiliated with the owner or GMs or any staff of the server. My name in game DieHard

You can get those items fast in game so there isn't really that much of a difference, you can get a db within 15 minutes of hunting in bird island

See, and thats something I never understood. What's the point of doing something like that, when you can just reduce the amount of dbs, or cps it takes to purchase something?

Why do servers have 1k cp drops, and then item's for 10k cps? Why not just make it 1-5 cp drops, and items for 1k cps. Logic. Either way, just a standard server as far as I can see, nothing special.

Everything is logically priced and cp drops are logically dropped, it's a LEVELING server, not a pvp server where u can buy everything in one go, you have to kill multiple monsters and take your time to get good gears, it's not a hey look i've played for like 30 minutes i'm max level and max gears, no, that is sooo pointless. I hate private servers like that, i'd rather have a private server like this, you can tell who is botting/exploiting by how fast they get gears and ban them very fast. It's still in BETA phase so of course it's going to be a basic server, atleast they have there own website made by them every other server i've seen copies each other. They are still adding ALOT of events and stuff to the game. They make the cp drop more reasonable then any other server, they drop cp boxes varying from small to large, the cps within the boxes differ by the size of it, seeing as a small will normally drop 1 -10 cps, and a large will drop from 20 - 50 cps

Edit: They are adding bosses and things, they have also said that they don't want to advertise on voting sites before they have everything up and running the way they want and get out of the beta phase, seeing as this server is pretty much at the phase of alot of servers at this point, they are STILL adding items and things to do

Ok, it's leveling server, congratulations, I don't see anything that makes it different. Here's the joke, I hear server say their adding bosses, and it's like, congratulations you have a boss where people click on it, and then spam F1 for potions like Snow Banshee, Spook, and so on. Woooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwww so much fun. I actually helped test, debug and code Gibbon. It's probably the first boss in CO that actually feels like a boss and not just like, hey guys, I can spam pots.

Show me something new, interesting and revolutionizing.

Ok, first off, if you want something interesting and revolutionizing, you are playing the wrong game. Secondly, everyone is always going to spam pots on every monster, it's obvious that YOU would think something like that, you are a admin for something that completely destroyed conquer. TQ's greed destroyed Conquer. Secondly, nope that's not true at all; refer to the link I posted. Observe no potions were used and the player sustained his HP using life steal. Observe the fluidity of the fight, and that it's not static, you're actually involved and doing something while you fight the boss! THIS, is revolutionizing.

Basically all I got out of your response is that I should accept bad coders w/o good ideas as the good standard for Conquer servers? Hell no. Just because the server you're trying to promote (and no other server) can think out side the box, doesn't mean I have to accept adding a new boss that adds nothing new to the game as a job well done.
Edit: I shouldn't say they can't think outside the box, I'm sure plenty people have thought about ideas like this. I suppose I should say code outside the box?

I appreciate the feedback, and for infamous i've seen Gibson and it is a great boss AI, reminds me of WoW, which is something we've thought of creating bosses to work more like WoW (with minions, healing, preventing potion etc) a smarter AI than what CO has. Why WoW? It's one game where i've seen some great features and ideas. Bosses aren't fully implemented in HeroicConquer for the exact reason, We don't want a regular BOSS with stronger skills which is what CO has, We want something smart and it's what something we're aiming for, The server is still in beta, and despite our slow progress we have been picking up on a lot and trying to add as many unique features as possible.

I hate to say it but I don't see results. It's been 4 years almost of my absence in the p-server development project and nobody's done anything that's like "oh wow, that's ******* awesome" so I can't help but say I'm waiting to see it whenever it's done. PCSD has only been in development for about 3 weeks now, so I don't really give others an excuse for slow development.

My real problem is that the OP tried to make this server sound super awesome, and I'm not saying that it won't be, just that it has nothing to show for that it will be. It's nothing new or innovating as it stands.

You're super right, and I love the critical review from you sir.
Btw, thanks for the review OP.

Yes development for "new" things has been a tad slower than I would have liked, but we've been focusing on getting the basics done first.
We coded this from scratch and have focused on the main features of real conquer.
We both have jobs so we can't work on this as often as I would like.
We're still in beta, and yes, nothing innovative, but we haven't advertised for that reason, we're still working on things to get people to be like "oh wow that's awesome and fun".
So please don't judge the server too harshly till its out of beta and we advertise.
