Indeed that's my point. In order to make something like this work back on the community a single section wouldn't be enough. Let's take myself for an example, I can't compete with any of the aforementioned people when it comes to programming but I'm not a complete ****** either (opinions may differ). I'm willing to learn certain things every now and then by trial and error or reading a book, but I'm not dedicated enough to study all day just to have access to the underground.
I've mentioned the non-leecher idea before and I'll mention it again. Obviously it can be named to anything and the requirements/standards to join can be adjusted. But I do think that apart from the 'elite' sections (which will probably remain UG) there should be a section with people that contribute to the forum in a certain way other than releasing. Just to differ the people who are just here to leech things from the people who are here to either learn things or spend lots of time helping people. Purely to minimize the gap between both sections. Because of the gap remains too big, I'll have to agree with Korvacs that there will be no difference with the current situation.
Edit: Didn't read Infamous' post about the Lvl2 / UG sections (same goes for bone-you). However I still think that standards should be lowered for the UG section. But that's obviously up to the people who are/will be in.

I object to { Angelius }, I don't think he's really cut out for it.
But, I'm willing to here what the other members who're already on the list have to say.
@Captivate:
UG seems to have a pretty low standard since it's peer-reccomended one person can't out right say "NO I HAVE A GRUDGE AGAINST THIS PERSON" since it's a democratic decision from the UG community.
It's simply a method of filtering those who're leeching.

Alright your idea is all good and all, but what do the admins have to say about this? They haven't actually said yes or no(or did they, I forget), but theres no point getting "ahead of yourself" (No disrespect intended<3) if the idea wouldnt be considered anyway.
But I read the admins post hours ago and theres been like another 100 replys so I forget.

And if nullable does return he should defiantly be in for Level 2, And maybe even Fang, he's discovered alot of cool **** nobody had found before him.

lostsolder05 not lostsoldier05. In UG currently, but don't really care if I'm included in the new list.
Nice list though looks to be some nifty changes possibly coming up.

I don't know, it doesn't even have to be Lv.2, just a separate group from UG with the same privileges as UG. I don't think any of us honestly care if we have access to the other games Lv.2/UG sections.
I mean yeah, a user-tag is nice and all, but it isn't mandatory for our causes.

L2 to my knowledge requires you to submit a high-level exploit to an administrator for approval to join the group, it has to be unique etc etc.
So it would need to be a new usergroup similar to underground, rather than any of the existing levels.

I thought that was for underground access too? Either way, it's stupid though.

No underground access was invite only primarily, later we allowed people to request it at which point votes were taken etc.
While you might think its stupid the reasoning is very simple, release high level exploits to the community and you destroy a game, no game means no community, ie. self-destruction. Its happening to CO right now, just in slow motion due to die-hard bulkers.

^this. Unfortunately, due to the nature of CO I don't think an influx of high level bots would even hurt it. TQ would just open another server, merge a few more, open a few more, and then release a new expansion for more people to buy stuff in and all is well.

Simply looking at this should show you the state CO is in nowadays:
How many servers are classed as busy/overloaded, there was a time when practically all of them were busy/overloaded, now its but a handful, CO is declining, TQ doesnt even consider it their flagship game anymore. Releasing more high level bots now would just drive away regular users, nevermind what TQ would potentially do about it, and that would simply increase the rate at which it dies.
