Some days, I have time to work on things. Other days I don't. Around this time of the semester, I usually have more time to work. Anyways, here's today's update:
With a few people at my college and on the forums wanting to beta test the server, I need a way to update their clients as I add and change things. The best way to do that would be to create an autopatcher that patches the client for them; and since I don't have one, I've deiced to start designing one.
It doesn't do any autopatching yet, but I'm starting that next. Right now, it can open a webpage for the recent news panel and allow the user to change in-game settings before starting the game. The goal of this autopatcher project is to create a program that does absolutely everything for the player, and I feel I've started in the right direction. It even installs the files required to run the autopatcher upon startup (if the files do not exist). Anyways, here are a few pictures of what I have so far:
(Animated Buttons upon mouse over - red is a base for the leaves that it will be replaced with)
(The white line to the right of the window has been removed since this picture)
I did a few other things as well relating to attack calculations (mostly just running statistics in excel), but otherwise, this is all I have to show you for now. More development is coming soon! Cheers.

Hey everyone!
I had so much free time yesterday and this morning that I almost cried with joy. I worked a lot on the autopatcher and getting that working. Basically, you start with just the autopatch program executable (as you can see in the picture below, along with the client's ini folder).
When clicked on, the autopatch program will launch for the first time (placing a shortcut on your desktop and creating the files needed for it to run). After doing that, it's going to check for updates for your client version and download each patch. The patches queue up to be downloaded, and install after each download. You can see the progression of the patch downloads as one update operation (seen in the progress bar which shows the status of the downloads to exact precision).
The updates are stored as RAR files (compressed for faster downloads), but installation of the files does not require WinRAR to be installed. The autopatch program handles the decompression and installation automatically. As you can see below (after the updates have completed), the patching and file generation was successful.
I also claimed that I was going to change a few things with the appearance of the buttons and windows, and I did that. The ****** button look has been replaced with red flower petals. It's a bit less graphic (since the game itself isn't graphic at all). I've also fixed the white line that was on the side of the preferences window. Here's the result for now:
With the autopatcher working, I can now support more beta testers (given that my network can support them, which it cannot at this moment). Hopefully that situation changes soon. Anyways, more development is coming soon.

there is something i like to say idk if you will ignore or not .
i rly loved the launcher, the backround and the paper part is just very well done
but for that part i like it but idk why something is bothering, like something is not matching i cant tell which part to be honest i just feel like something not matching the backround.

I also noticed it. Maybe it's the perspective.
The leaves of the tree are imposed upon the news and overflow the frame, which is pretty good, but the statue is imposed over the tree, while the base of the tree trunk looks closer than the statue.
Also the tree overflow the frame, while the statue does not...
Anyway, I like the overall look.

I'm not an artist. You have a good talent in graphics designs. I actually like what you do for your UI. They're simple, functional, but also unique and well there is something really nice about them.
P.S. Could I have some login info ?  Would like to try your server a bit.

Absolutely. There's not much to test at the moment, but if you really want to log in, let me improve on the autopatcher a bit more first. I want to ensure that it's working to the best that it can, and I know there's something I can do to improve on that.
