[Coming Soon]Demon Age - Is it a PServer or a creation all of it's own?
Demon Age - The Will of the People
- Based off of the Portable 5017 LOTF source.
- Other than the base, completely custom. (Server-side)
- Client is about 75% custom in terms of equipment and stats.
- Not only is it being coded with good habits, two well-seasoned coders and an illustrator are guiding this project to force it into the right direction.

Storyline:

Within the world split into diversity by a terrible Demon summoned by a king, mad with power, there within lies one country by the name of Lyventhia purged of chaos, filled with soldiers of different powers like: Unnatural Swordsmanship; Archery Skills and the power to harness Mana.
Lyventhia is ready to hoist the battle flag and to fight back against the king's rein of unnatural monsters, in hopes of reclaiming the rest of the world as a peaceful world, purged of all chaos.

The Way Classes Work:
Each new player will start off as the basic class, Militia. These are unseasoned fighters ready to be trained as they prepare to fight the king's evil army in an attempt to cleanse the world of evil.
Once the player has accomplished the tasks given by the Tutorial Master who will teach the player the ways of each Tier 1 class, s/he will then be able to take a Profession Quest. This quest will allow the player to move on to their Tier 1 class.
Upon reaching the level requirement and reaching a certain point in the main quest, the player will then be able to take a 2nd Profession Quest in order to advanced to their Tier 2 class.
After reaching a minimum level of 130 and again, a certain point in the main quest, the player may choose to take a side quest to go through rebirth, where the player will be able to choose a different class while keeping a few skills of his/her previous class.
Upon reaching the max level and completing their 1st reborn class tree, they may choose to go through rebirth a 2nd time where they will be able to choose a combination class and keep a mix of both skills from their two primary classes.
The Class Trees:
Militia - Beginning class, not yet trained in any form of combat.
Knight Tree:
Knight - Tier 1 Class; Trained in the art of sword-craft, the player chooses to become a Knight on the battlefield. The knight can learn sword skills as well as one secondary skill. The Knight-Tree is the slower in terms of speed as well as leveling of the three class trees.
Crusader - Tier 2 Class; Trained in the art of dual-wielding, the player chooses to become a Crusader. The Crusader is a fast striking soldier who puts more thought into his attacks rather than brawn and learns advanced sword skills as well as two secondary skils.
Templar - Tier 2 Class; Trained in the art of two-handers, the player chooses to become a Templar. The Templar is a light-hearted soldier who although is slightly slower and puts more strength into their attack, learn mystical skills that almost emulate the use of magic.
Hunter Tree:
Hunter - Tier 1 Class; Trained in the art of archery, the player chooses to become a Hunter. The Hunter can learn basic bow skills as well as one secondary skill. The Hunter-Tree is the fastest of the three class trees.
Ranger - Tier 2 Class; The Ranger is a fast-shooting soldier who puts a faster drawback on the string rather than training in strength. The Ranger hits faster, and learns the summon spell faster than any other class. The Ranger trains in advanced bow skills as well as two secondary skills.
Sharpshooter - Tier 2 Class; The Sharpshooter is an accurate-shooting soldier who puts more strength and accuracy into their attacks rather than focusing on the speed. Sharpshooters learn advanced bow skills and three secondary skills.
Magician Tree:
Magician - Tier 1 Class; Trained in the art of mana, the player chooses to become a Magician. Magicians learned basic spells as well as one secondary skill. The Magician-Tree is the fastest leveler of the three class trees.
Cleric - Tier 2 Class; Trained in the healing form of magic, the player chooses to become a Cleric. Clerics learn advanced healing spells and are CRUCIAL to surviving faction wars. Clerics naturally have a larger mana pool than the Sage.
Sage - Tier 2 Class; Trained in the battle form of magic, the player chose the path of the Sage. Sages learn advanced battle spells as that not only affect 1v1 combat, but also spells with an AoE(Area of Effect) effect. Again, probably a crucial class to have in your faction. Sages naturally have a larger health pool than the Cleric.
Combination Classes:
Assassin - Tier 1 Class; After obtaining the speed of a ******* and the lethal accuracy of a *******, the player is allowed the Profession Quest to become an Assassin. Assassin's specialize in fast moving dual-daggers as well as quick, powerful bow strikes. Assassin's keep all bow skills as well as being given secret training techniques with the daggers. This is what I call the cracked-out class because of it's intense speed.
Spirit Warrior - Tier 1 Class; Having both sword skills as well as magic skills, this warrior is allowed the privilege of owning a battle-staff as well as magic abilities. Spirit Warriors keep half sword skills as well as half spell skills.
Blood Master - Tier 1 Class; Having both sword skills as well as magic skills this warrior is battle-tuned and refined as a super soldier. If there was a soldier on meth, this would be it. Fast hitting with a blade, and powerful 1v1/AoE spells, this class is deadly.
Legionnaire - Tier 1 Class; Equally skilled with the bow as with the sword, the Legionnaire commands strikes from nature as well as strikes from his blade. Watch out for this class, it's unpredictable.
Defender - Tier 1 Class; With a high-rate of defense, this would make THE PERFECT TANKER. This class has the highest health as well as the highest defense in the game. Equiped with not only a battle-stave but a book of spells too!? This class could be the difference between a faction win and a faction loss.
Holy Warrior - Tier 1 Class; This class has the highest mana and the highest attack in the game, watch out for it. This class allows for powerful AoE spells and hard hitting weapon strikes.
Trickster - Tier 1 Class; This is the craziest class you'll ever see. This is what I call the Trickster class. It specializes hard hitting everything. Combining three classes into one, this is an 1v1 nightmare. Not too great for AoE however.
Nature's Second - Tier 1 Class; A pretty wicked class, specializing in healing and AoE attacks. If I'm online, don't use this class or I'll log off.
Tree-Bound Classes:
Tree-Bound Classes are for those who are Melee die-hard fans, Ranged die-hard fans or Magic die-hard fans. In order to obtain these, you need to stay in the same Class-Tree every time you go through a rebirth.
I am deciding to keep these secret as these are fucking faction super soldiers. These soldiers are not allowed in PvP tournaments unless in a special PvP arena and these are what makes Faction Wars what it is. I can guarantee you if you fight another Faction and they have a player with a Tree-Bound Class and you don't, you're fucked.
There will be balance, the Tree-Bound Classes all will have weaknesses. Don't worry. Worst comes to worse, and all of the players are too weak to kill a Tree-Bound soldier, there will be another way.
Leveling:
The max level is 150 and as this is not just a normal PServer the leveling will be hard. Just like a real game. You will not gain exp per hit, you will gain exp per kill.
Rates:
The exp rate is low. The proficiency rate is low. The money rate is low. There are no CP drops. Although you will see the CPs as CPs, they are being changed to Meteors. (No not the meteors you will be upgrading with. There will be a different style of leveling up.)
Mobs(Hordes):
The mobs aren't just normal mobs anymore. In fact, the term mob doesn't exist. They are called Hordes now. The monsters are not called monsters, they are now demons. There are three different types of hordes: Common (these usually do not gang rape you, it's usually only 1v1), Uncommon(these will swarm at you and they are harder to kill) and Unnatural (these are usually only seen during some sort of quest or dungeon). I almost also considering a new way that the Hordes fight you, more to match the "custom" game attempt more than anything.
Teams:
The way teams work is that whenever you kill a monster, you will be given 75% of the exp while every other member is given 50%.
Guilds(Factions):
Lose the term guild, they are now Factions and Factions will now serve a bigger purpose than JUST a group of like-minded teammates (aka A Guild).
Faction Wars:
There are two types of Faction Wars. FvF(Faction versus Faction) and FvW(Faction vesus World). FvF is one Faction facing another and this event can be called at anytime and won for faction points. The details of how is not set yet, but there will be soon. FvW is like an All-For-All, your Faction versus everyone else. This event will be twice a week and will be for prizes and major Faction points as well as points toward the top Faction of the month.
Quests!:
There are main quests and side quests. The side-quests will be crucial to learning skills as well as making money and leveling up. The main quest will need to be almost completed in order for you to rebirth for the 2nd time, so you will need to quest.
Rebirth:
The way Rebith works:
The first time they can rebirth at any level beyond 130 and once they rebirth they can pick a second specialization class. The second time they can rebirth as once reaching the max level of 150. When picking their
character they are presented with the combination classes instead of specialization classes.
There is no set website.
There is no set location on where it will be hosted.
There is no set team.
The name is set.

He's not my mentor, he's just someone who is guiding me through this. He's a pretty good friend if I do say so. And yes, I agree. It's about time a server was able to compete against BOTC. We don't want you guys to rape the players base! ^.^

Is was never intended to be worse than AstaCo in the first place ;D

Jk, I couldn't compare to BOTC. I'm just one person.
Stuff's been going slow, and I'm having trouble. I deleted every NPC and MobSpawn to get the basic systems down. (New Mob movement, NPC movement, etc.) I added one single NPC in, and now it shows up invisible. This is blocked development for almost 3 days now.

I highly recommend that you extend your deadline. I was having a hard time with Project Kibou in getting it ready for Christmas. I would try a later date (or just not having a deadline and getting it done nicely at your own pace). Good luck.
