Exp Potion duration client side?

I have reason to believe that the exp potion duration is client side, any ideas on how to freeze its duration?

It used to be, if you turned your pc clock back, you would get more time.

However that doesn't work anymore.

yup used to be able to get like 7 hours out of 1 exp pot :P

recently i used an exp pot. killed for an hour, it dispeared. turned off computer then went to bed.
next morning i got up, started computer and started playing conquer. after a few minutes i noticed my exp potion time was 6 hours - obviously i was like WTF? but at the same time WOOHOO. so i went and killed for those few hours, but it didnt seem like i was getting double exp even though it said so. restarted conquer couple times but it was still there.
AND i didnt even change my screen time or anything.

so why the hell did this happen? my guess is that its a glitch

it probably is cuz one time i killed a blessed char and got cursed, once it ran out it said i had 24 hours of curse time left lol. i could gain xp and use gates but i had the curse timer thing
