HOW TO BE A SUCCESSFUL GUILDLEADER
Introduction
I?ve got my own guild and it?s the most successful guild in my server, why you ask, well currently I?ve got the most members in my guild than any other guild in my server, we are wining mostly all the guildwars we attend accept the occasional lost, we have many allies in which we have strong relationships with and il think you?ll find that all my members are happy to be in my guild and feel that they are truly part of a successful guild which is growing in size and succession everyday.
Talk to people in your guild
The definition of the word guild: a group of people working together as a team to reach a certain goal. In order for your guild to work well with each other you need to have a good relationship with everyone seeing as you are the guild leader and the one who makes the big decision. And when I say talk to people I don?t mean just a couple of friends you know in the guild or some people that you know in real life I mean everyone in your guild. I?ve noticed that there are many unsuccessful guilds with not many members and this is mainly due down to the guild leader not talking or taking notice in other members resulting them into leaving. The more communication that goes on in a guild the more your guild will improve and help members feel more welcomed and happy to be in your guild.
What level should you be to form a guild
In order for your guild to be successful you need to be an experienced player in Conquer Online. The preferable level I believe you need to be is 110 to 130. However, this is not the case for all players. Although higher levelled players tend to be more experienced if you feel that you are confident enough to be able to deal with this then you should give it a try. However, remember that as a guild leader you will need to be able to deal with things like arguments and personal problems that may cause a disruption in guild and out of guild. Another reason it will be preferable to be level 110-130 you will more likely to have more higher level friends that can help you out in your guild and may even join early on when its created. Being higher levelled will also give you the opportunity to have stronger allies and more opportunities in having many members as lower levels who join feel that they will be protected. Just remember that a powerful guild needs a powerful leader who understands other peoples problems and builds a strong trust in the guild itself.
What type of people should you accept into your guild
Well this really depends on what type of guild you want, for example, if you are looking to make a pking guild then you would want high levelled players that can easily kill others and players that are mouthy and cant help but stay out of trouble by disrespecting others. However, if you want a more common friendly type guild that helps each other out when they have problems and chat with one another then you will need friendly people who respect others and if you want to regularly attend guildwars you will need some high levelled people but remember not everyone needs to be at such a high level. You may also want to set an entrance level to your guild e.g. level 50 and over to be a member. This ensures that experienced people re in your guild and also prevents inactive members joining your guild as people who are level 50 and above have put their time and effort into levelling and are more likely to be devoted rather than just quitting Conquer Online the next day or week later.
Making important decisions on choosing Deputy Leader
A deputy leader as an important role in the guild and as just as important as the guild leader but does not have as much responsibility. Why are they as important as the guild leader, well like the guild leader, deputy leaders can invite other CO players into the guild and being a deputy leader stands that they are high and mature enough to take a part of leadership of your guild. They also have to follow the guild leaders orders i.e. recruiting more water taoists or killing enemy guilds on sight so you will need to elect people who are likely to follow out your decisions even if they might effect the guild in a positive or negative way. I have also noticed that 3 out of 5 deputy leaders do not actually take responsibility or take the extra roles on as being deputy leaders as they are lazy or simply just take it seriously or into consideration of how it may effect their guild. The best tip I can give you when selecting deputy leaders is do not select your friends or gaming buddies just because you know the well you should select people that have shown that they can be mature along with responsibility and can make the right decisions in order to benefit the guild and not only themselves.
If you follow these guide lines when starting up a guild then you should find that you are getting members to join fairly quick and that they are fairly happy. However, starting up a guild isn?t the hardest part, maintaining the guild is. This is usually because people get bored in the guild or have a fall out with one another mainly because they do not have a good relationship or because they do not trust each other. How do I deal with this as a guild leader ?
RUNNING GUILD EVENTS
I regularly run events for my guild to help them build team work and to build trust. The events I run are interesting and mostly all my guild take part in the events weekly as they can win prizes like meteors or money. Although sometimes little fights are triggered off due to some members not winning prizes it usually creates a friendly atmosphere as guild members are kept entertained and feel that they are truly a part of the guild. I have also found that these events help in guild wars as my guild learn how to work well with each other and learn what tactics work in the battlefield and what doesn?t and sometimes you can't have much fun on your own but when you have your alliance they can make it fun and even a relationship with some of the people in your alliance this will build stronger character to alliance showing to guild wars and even helping at dangerous times.
Guild VS Guild events operation sabotage (need to have a strong guild equal or more to the alliance)
This is an event that happens on any day except the guild wars (because many guilds participate in it and is it would be pointless as not any people will take part) each guild has 2 team on one guild meaning only 8 people are chosen to fight in this operation against the alliance who participate in the operation. Now this is an attack and defending game (like guild wars) one guild is the attacker one is the defending a statue, which holds their place in the game. The attacker breaks the statue, which then they hold the statue in place with their statue. This game can go on for an hour. Who ever hold the statue the longest wins?
Buried treasure (your guild vs all alliance)
This is one of the previous games I have played with my guild but there is a twist in this one. The person who is doing the game give you hint on to where the person is. The person will also tell you what does the region look like but never leaks out information to what direction he is in like pirates you must savage the land to find the treasure the person who finds the person will win the prize .
Guild conflict wars =GCW (guilds and ally, only 1or 2 if you want)
The part of this game is simple and personally my favourite
If you have read all of this guide then hopefully you should be a good guild leader with no doubt and even if your not a guild leader but you are in a guild you can learn from this and take something?s into consideration and give suggestions towards your guild leader. Just remember that running a guild is not an easy job especially if you are not in control but if you are it can have any rewards.
