@mattrox666, try log in again, if still cant log, wait a mins.
@sameerlal, yes, u can kill monsters, about arrows u need money and buy at the normal place, to get money, i am not sure, try /gold <number of gold>, if dont works ask a GM they are always in TC.

well, u hit a mosters instantainly, but due to lag, u just see some time after.
Just deal with it till they fix the lag
